Goodbyes

I started saying goodbye at 22. I drove away from Muncie, said good bye to the college memories, and started my internships at Purdue. At 23, I left Purdue with as many tears and packed my bags for grad school. At 25, I said goodbye to the best friends I made in Valdosta, and found my way back in Muncie. Now at 27, it is the first year where I have truly said goodbye to some very dear people without also going somewhere next. I think that is why these goodbyes have been even more difficult because I am staying behind in someone else's absence. It is a feeling no one can really prepare someone.
