my stances. TL;DR: i don't believe in policing others' DRs/beliefs or harassing others over fiction—no exceptions. don't like, don't read. i will not engage in discourse.

on this blog: this is a personal blog. there may be personal stuff. i talk very casually abt my DRs (ones i plan to shift to, ones i've already shifted to, and nebulous ideas) and shifting experiences.

i don't perceive time linearly + i don't differentiate between what "has happened" / "hasn't happened", so there might be discrepancies re: tense and continuity. i may use fictional terminology when referring to DRs and people in them; i talk about DRs/shifting and fandom in the same breath.

i post via queue, and generally don't reblog things unless i have something to say. i also tag very sparingly + might miss certain tags, so proceed at your own risk / curate your experience as needed. if you want something to be tagged, feel free to ask.

more about me: i like all things macabre (from psychological to body horror); nature (especially fish, reptiles, and invertebrates); and history/sociology/psychology (the social studies fascinate me). i have a love for worldbuilding (especially fantasy, sci-fi, and dystopias) and a rotating list of media that i keep in my mental storage closet. my music taste is anything and everything.

header is mine. assets used under the cut:

a multiversal/conglomerate DR comprising offsplits of the honkai impact continuity, in which we're a gateway system w/ a "central"/hub reality to hang out in (akin to spider society from the spiderverse series). other hoyoverse games might be included? but i'm leaving that up to chance.

inspired by our experience in another plural-in-separate-bodies reality + the idea of "variants" across the honkai continuity (e.g. bronya and silver wolf). we'll still be able to communicate w/ each other telepathically/through a hivemind, but we'll have separate physical forms, consciousnesses, etc.

there's a lot of speculation on the origins of my mask (and on myself as a whole tbh), but no one has guessed that it wasn't stolen from a mourning actor at all (as is the popular tradition at this time).

actually, my mask was one i made myself. for a long time, i wasn't happy with my life; i pondered joining various organizations—particularly the mourning actors, ironically—to find a sense of meaning, but couldn't really connect to any of them. i felt directionless. purposeless. but a series of events (that i may or may not elaborate on later) led me to finding joy in life, others, and most importantly, myself.

my friend has been getting me into HSR again and now i'm making a bunch of DRs for it augh >>>> i'll lead with this one, where i'm a masked fool + mysterious celebrity figure who frequents galas/parties despite never being invited to them

i don't care for the masked fools' internal politics, nor for the regard of others; i operate entirely on my own agenda, according to whatever amuses me most. this mindset has earned me scorn from certain members of the faction, and admiration from others—though i tend not to get too close to either for my own sake.

no one knows my real face or name, and i'd prefer to keep it that way. but life so rarely goes according to preference...

as the title says. shifting as byleth, probably a few months or years before canon starts? bc i want to get to know the mercenaries (found family rrrgahh) + also travel the world! there's so much to explore

maybe i should get embroiled in like. a political conspiracy or two for funsies..

a western fantasy-esque DR inspired by httyd, wings of fire, and flight rising (plus probably other dragon media i consumed as a kid and forgot abt). dragons are real and omnipresent.

human civilization is confined to a small subsection of the world bc they're generally too afraid of dragons to venture further. (there's an awful history between them, and dragons have very good reason to keep humans out of their territory, to say the least.)

I WANT THE FULL STUPID TEEN BOY EXPERIENCE. w/o the misogyny/gender norms though.. i never rlly got to in this reality bc of exorsexism/transphobia, strict parents, and other personal affairs. (and i say "stupid teen boy" for the vibe, not to place any emphasis on gender/sex. i don't tolerate bioessentialism)

anyway i just want to do dumb shit with my friends! try to chug an entire bottle of orange juice. hold impromptu makeover sessions. play tag in the school halls and laugh off anyone who tells us we're "too old for this". and ofc i want to play volleyball!

to preface: i've never watched game of thrones or read ASOIAF, nor have i played elden ring. but from what i know of their lore, they're interesting, which is why i've decided to incorporate them. do what you want forever, ykyk

the codename is inspired by noita's cessation questline, but the DR itself doesn't really revolve around that,, i just thought it was a nice reference

so in this reality, GoT, elden ring, noita, and my original worldbuilding (that i'll ramble more about later undoubtedly) are all set in the same world. idk how it'll happen, but i trust that it'll all work out.

i am The Noita. the cursed witch, the damned sorcerer, the being sentenced to martyr themselves for the world—and, hopefully, to save it. i was trapped in the cycle (noita canon/gameplay) for a long time, before finally achieving the "peaceful" ending and breaking free... only to wind up in this unfamiliar-familiar world that seems just as wretched as my old one.

idia has a ton (and i mean. a TON) of HaZARD (that's me!) merch in his room. like posters on the wall, a figurine collection, the whole shrine in his closet... the works. it lowk freaked me out at first (and still kind of does) bc i Fear being perceived, but idia himself has been relatively chill.

speaking of mostro lounge: there are similar establishments in other dorms, founded by their respective alumni. (pomefiore + heartslabyul, for instance, each have their own ballrooms.) mostro lounge is just the most recent + the only one actively being maintained... the others are only really used for special occasions AFAIK.

idk that much abt the process of establishing such spaces, but from what i know, students can either petition the school to add a new area to their dorm or fundraise on their own.

in the former case, you have to get strong support from w/in your dorm. the school will cover a lot of the cost, but they also get more control re: design, what the establishment is used for, how it's handled... etc.

in the latter case, whoever founds the establishment gets control over (and has to take responsibility for) it. it's not absolute, since the establishment will still be on school property, but since the student(s) is expected to cover the cost/organize things/manage it on their own, there's an unspoken agreement that NRC will stay mostly hands-off

rambling abt octavinelle culture...... i'll b doing some smaller posts in between the larger ones so i don't get overwhelmed. don't expect any consistency from me ever

so in this DR, octavinelle is on the more structured side when it comes to dorm culture. there's a strong sense of... not rly community, per se, but everyone is expected to do their part. especially w/ mostro lounge; there's a sort of prestige attached to having a student-led fixture in the dorm.

students are also kind of... selfish? ruthless? competitive? there's a lot of mind games, and transactional relationships/interactions are the norm (bc that's how you ensure the other person follows through on their word). people generally don't say hi unprompted, or make small talk, or any of those social niceties; it's not quite unfriendly... more like impersonal? there are distinct cliques, though.
