I see so many people use the term "pick-me" for literally any woman who simply wants some attention or male attention, but I don't see how exactly that's "pick-me" behavior.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always assumed that the term was only really used on overly male-centered women (or people?) who indirectly or directly degrade other women or put them in harm's way for the attention or approval of men. Wanting attention is a pretty normal thing, so I don't see how a woman simply wanting some attention qualifies her as a "pick-me" if she's not actively belittling or endangering anyone.
I donāt think Iāll ever have a super clear or definitive opinion on the whole transgender thing. I guess Iām kind of indifferent? Or maybe somewhere in the middle. Like, I have no issue with trans people or trans-related things, I obviously see them as people who deserve rights, respect, and the ability to live happy lives without hate, just like everyone else. But when it comes to specific topics within the conversation, like kids transitioning, bathrooms, and sports, I feel like my thoughts get more complicated.
For example, with kids transitioning, I can understand why someone would want to start young, waiting until adulthood could make things harder. But at the same time, I feel like making a permanent decision before fully grasping what it means is risky. I donāt know if thereās a right answer, but I just feel like itās something that should be approached with a lot of caution, and a lot more information.
Then thereās the bathroom situation. I understand why trans people want to use the bathroom theyāre most comfortable in, nobody wants to feel unsafe or out of place. But at the same time, I feel like it doesnāt take into account how other people (especially and specifically cis-women) feel in those spaces. Itās like, in trying to make one group more comfortable, another group might feel uncomfortable, and that just seems like a lose-lose situation. Maybe the solution is more unisex bathrooms? (Actually, do those already exist widely? I feel like they probably do and I just under a rock, idk)
And then thereās sports. I mean, biologically, men are stronger than women, thatās just a fact. So I donāt think people who were born male should compete against women in sports because it could put women at a disadvantage, depending on the sport. But then again, Iāve also heard that when trans people transition and take hormones, it affects their biology and might level the playing field? I donāt know how true that is, so Iām just kind of ??? on that one.
So yeah, I guess my stance is that I donāt really have a strong stance. I donāt hate anyone, I just think some of these topics are tricky, and I donāt know if thereās a perfect answer to any of them.
I donāt like Polygamy or Polyamory, but I donāt really mind it in fiction.
āiām not reading all of thatā
and itās literally just a paragraph or twoā¦

The statement that a gay male pedophile is weirder than a straight male pedophile, is in itself weird.
Theyāre both equally as weird and disgusting as each other, because a pedophile is a pedophile regardless of said individuals sexuality or preference(s) in (a childs!) gender.
I mean literally, if you were to take out the āgayā from a gay pedo, theyād still just be a pedo! The only difference is that their preference (in kids!) differs, and now they either only like/go after little girls or little girls and boys.
Whether they like or have a preference for males and/or females, or simply no preference at all, theyāre still child diddlers! Thatās the issue, that is what you should be focused on. One shouldnāt make you more uncomfortable or disgusted than the other, theyāre the same thing, be equally repulsed by both!
Women will be like āI hate all menā one minute, and the next either go right back to their ex only to just get heartbroken by them all over again, or cry over never finding a man to love and marry them.
The same way men will claim to hate or dislike women, only to desperately want one to love them, open up too, and settle down with.
Women will be like āI hate all menā one minute, and the next either go right back to their ex only to just get heartbroken by them all over again, or cry over never finding a man to love and marry them.
Men (and at times even women) will go on and on about how being feminine, or just being a woman in general, sucks because they're weak and stupid, then have the audacity to actually be surprised when women donāt want to be feminine or be seen as feminine and begin to act tomboyish to ānot be like other girls.āĀ
