Mama, I'm comin' home

V exits the elevator and nearly collides with a man she’s never met. She mumbles an apology, but she swears she feels his gaze linger as she continues down the hall. The receptionist reminds her, yet again, that Jenkins is waiting, like she wasn’t already painfully aware.

She rounds the corner and her stomach drops when she sees him; Frank Nostra. Her ex… boyfriend was too formal, fling too trivial… Frank was one of Abernathy’s favorites and it had been Jenkins ‘suggestion’ that V ‘keep a close eye’ on him. Jenkins couldn’t order her to of course, but she read between the lines and did what he’d wanted just the same.

Frank and V both figured out quickly that they were merely extensions of their bosses bitter rivalry. What they hadn’t expected was the odd spark of chemistry that ignited between them. However, Frank’s involvement in the firing of her cousin, Vincent, was enough for V to end the relationship for good.
