I know I asked you this before but do you think anyone would notice if I didn’t go back to Atlanta? Because after that little show you put on in the car on the way home from the airport made me realize there are at least 3 of very well-founded reasons why I should never leave again. At least. It feels nice to be in our bed again and I don’t have to worry about waking up freezing cold in the middle of the night. But I digress – I’m immensely happy to be home at least until Sunday night. What is the plan for the weekend, by the way? Are we going out or maybe you’d prefer to... stay in, hm?

I don’t think you understand how much I miss hanging out with you. I know I drag your poor wife around all the time and I see you in passing but I feel like we haven’t gotten up to no good in too long. I had this thought – and you can tell me if it’s an idiotic one – that maybe we could throw a joint costume party for Halloween. Maybe turn my house and yours into some kind of backyard fun fest for everyone. I bet we could even employ Evan to help too if he’s not too busy plotting everyone’s demise. Or you could just come over and carve pumpkins with me – I’m proud of how my harvest this year all thanks to the seeds I bought from your garden center.

I thought we were friends. But I hear you’re telling Jensen secrets that you aren’t sharing with me. What is this shit, Niall? This is a grave offense against the sanctity of our friendship! Okay, no, I’m completely kidding. I don’t care but I am curious to know. Jensen said he wasn’t going to tell me because it “wasn’t his place” or something stupid like that. I think he just likes holding it over my head that he got to hear it first. This is why you’re supposed to tell me first! So what’s the big secret? I’m dying to know. You share yours and I’ll share mine.

I hope you’ve been wearing the shirt I got you for your birthday every single day and bragging to everyone you know about what a great friend I am. I thought it was genius and I know you did too – if you didn’t, don’t tell me that. It’ll hurt my feelings. Anyway, I’ve been debating going to the farmer’s market here in Atlanta but it doesn’t feel quite the same without my favorite veggie appreciating companion by my side. I think the only veritable solution here is that you fly here, we go to the farmer’s market and then I’ll send you home when we’re done. Tom won’t even know you’re gone! 

I’m in trouble and I need you to protect me. I’m not insinuating that you have to keep a grown man under control because as a grown man myself, I know how difficult that task is but I do have this sinking feeling that Chris and Jensen are up to no good. I’m going to be the one to bear the brunt of whatever pranks ensue. My thinking is I have to have safety in numbers and you were the very first person I thought of – I do owe you still since I’ve been a terrible friend and haven’t snagged you for a moment to have tea and talk about life. I can make it a whole day of adventure on my dollar to make up for not doing this sooner and also your much needed body guarding.

Hi, of course I remember you, Misha right? We worked together on Girl Interrupted. Oh stop, from what I’ve heard you’ve had quite the career yourself. I’ve been great, just busying myself with moving. How about you? Wow, twenty years is a long time, it’s going to take quite a while to catch up but I’m ready for the challenge. I’m glad you enjoyed the show, it’s definitely been an amazing project to be a apart of. 

I haven’t stopped talking about my 30 seconds of fame flirting with Susanna. Please, not nearly as successful as yours and at this rate, I’m considered washed up. I’ve been the same! Busying myself with moving too, actually. I’m going to be living in Atlanta for the next month so I’ve been preparing for the journey. Well, how about this weekend when I’m back in Mount Meadow, we grab something to eat or drinks or both and start on the catch up? I won’t complain if it takes more than one day. I’m sure it has been – it’s not usually the kind of show I would watch on my own but I’m glad that I did. Are you excited for the final season? I’m sure that’s bittersweet.

Excuse me, what? You’re leaving and I’m just now finding out about it? Your lucky I love you, Misha. We can go shopping I may not be the best judge of whatever you’re needing eyes on but I’ll go either way. Yes, please, a good ol’ fashion catchup session is in order. Can’t believe you’re leaving for a full month. So mad about this whole situation.

Yes! I thought I told you! Maybe I didn’t – you know me, Amita, I’m always forgetting everything. I may have changed my mind on the original purchase but we can still go shopping – you did pick out the best crop top for me and I need more clothes to look young and groovy in Atlanta. I’ll be home on the weekends! You know I can’t abandon my garden for longer than that. You just won’t get to gaze upon this handsome face during the week and honestly? Probably for the best. I can’t bear the thought of you ever getting sick of me.

OH, I’ll tell you right now, it’s expensive, but absolutely worth the cost, get the CatGenie it will save you at least half the upkeep, and then there are automatic feeders, and cat water fountains, which are better than stagnant water bowls because they encourage the cat to drink more water. There will still be the occasional clean up on aisle 3, and the feeder and water fountain needs to be topped up about once a week so everything stays fresh, but once a week’s nothing. 

I didn’t mean to make you feel guilty! I was just sharing my personal experience, because I’ve tried getting Milly friends, and until my boyfriend’s dog Tobi, she didn’t want to have anything to do with any other creature. 

Good lord... that’s too much for my old man brain to handle. I’ll write it down and make someone else purchase and use all those things on my behalf. The cat hasn’t won my affections quite yet, though part of that is that I’m leaving and I’m not getting any bonding time in. Hopefully I come back to a house to live in that isn’t taken over by cats and a rogue partner. Thankfully, the little furry friend seems to be amenable towards other animals, at least according to the shelter. That’s a positive. My kids’ cat never got along with their dog either though so I understand the struggle. I’m just far too busy to consider a second animal unless someone else is helping care for it.

Hey, fan service, right? At least I think that’s what people call it. Gotta keep the people watching-I’m kidding. You two were both amazing on the show and I gotta admit, it’s my ‘feel good’ one. Oh no. That must not have been nice for either one of you two. I feel like people don’t really focus on how the other person feels. Okay, we can go soon and I can set it up and show you how to use it! Well, I feel like it was your meddling and whispering in his ear that garnered me my first boyfriend so…thank you? 

That’s right – fan service. We do a lot of that. At this point since the show is over, it’s less about them watching and more about them throwing their money at conventions and watching the new shows we’re going to be on. Aw, that’s sweet! Don’t say that to Jensen, we can’t let it go to his head. It wasn’t but it is what it is – no use crying over spilled milk and all that. That would be great – I should be around this weekend if all goes well. Oh! So you made it official then? Well, congratulations. I’ll be expecting my very own toast at the future wedding.

That phrase didn’t make things any easier! Okay, fine-a helmet it is. I would rather keep this a secret and then just hop on a bike as if I know what I was doing all along. That makes sense, honestly-gravity and all that. Maybe I’ll fall on purpose just so I can test your limits…although I really don’t think I’ll need any help with the falling down part. I’m pretty adept on a skateboard so don’t think a bike will be that much different.

Your secret is safe with me, I can assure you but the riding will have to wait now that I’m officially out of town. I’ll be back this weekend so riding lessons start promptly at 9 on Saturday morning. You’re going to give me a run for my money, aren’t you? Well, I suppose I asked for it agreeing to this in the first place. If I start catching on to you intentionally falling though, I will let you hit the pavement, Dougie. Oh, in that case, you’ll be fine! From what I hear, skateboarding is much more challenging than riding a bike.

Hey, natural is the way to go! It clearly got you a hot brit so it worked-just kidding. I think it may just be because it was a party. Things always seem to be a bit more…dramatic at them. She is! She’s very chill and I hope some of that will be transferred down to mine. Oh wow! Wait, are they all on the same day? I have a hard time keeping up with all these celebrations! I need to get some epic presents, it sounds like.

I don’t know that it was the hair that won him over or the worry lines on my forehead. Those are all natural too. Interesting, I’ll have to keep that in mind. I usually do know my kids best but I suppose sometimes even I miss things. We can only hope though after my fiasco yesterday with the kids, I’m not sure “chill” is the word I would use to describe them anymore. I was ready to return them. West and Khai have the same birthday and then Maison’s birthday is two days later. So yes, they’re crammed together and that’s both nice and daunting. Please, don’t worry about getting West and Maison anything, they have everything they could want. Khai, on the other hand, is a perfectly acceptable child to spoil.

Is it bad that the only reason why I’m rushing to get my house unpacked and done is just so I can immediately start decorating for Halloween? I’ve been planning for like a month now and I can’t wait any longer. It’s September so it’s officially spooky season in my house. I need to go to a pumpkin patch, and have everything in pumpkin spiced like yesterday! Now are you just as excited as I am or are you a normal person? [ @mountmeadow· ]

I think that’s a perfectly valid reason to rush your unpacking. I haven’t quite reached that level yet but I know as soon as I’m perusing the aisles of the store and see the Halloween repertoire, I won’t be able to stop myself. You’ll fit right in in this town – the people here go crazy with their decorations and that’s a good thing. I’m sure there’s a pumpkin patch but I’ll do you one better and let you choose from my perfectly grown pumpkins this season if you’re looking for the best pumpkins. Psh, who needs normal? I’m right there with you, though more than anything, I’m looking forward to the cooler weather. 

Winona! Lovely to see you in town! You probably don’t even remember me but we worked on a movie together ages ago that you got quite a bit of acclaim for – and I went mostly unnoticed. How have you been? We have nearly 20 years of stuff to catch up on. I’m mostly curious to know about your time on Stranger Things – I recently watched the show and you did brilliantly, as always. 

i don’t blame you, lowkey feel like even the Jonas would pick that one. thanks for trying to make me feel less guilty, that’s sweet of you. hey, a new bicycle isn’t boring at all !! but once i’m done with my tour and back at home all i am going to be buying are ugly christmas sweaters, pjs and and slippers. and also that might be what i’m going to be wearing all day long. well, as they say, the friends of my friends are my friends and i’d love to get to know you better.

That all depends on how drunk I am and how funny you’re being, guess it’s just something you’re going to have to wait to find out. I know, I’m still mad that I didn’t get to witness your pants splitting at yoga! You’re not helping yourself here Misha, you’re just making me want to take you out even more. I get that, unfortunately being in the public eye isn’t for everyone and keeping kids away from it can be difficult. I guess I got lucky that Elsa was also in this industry so she understood, not like it helps all that much when you’re away for like a month at a time and always busy. Kids adapt pretty quickly, this kind of lifestyle is all that they know, so as long as they’re happy and feel loved, I guess it’s just us over reacting with it all. How did you both meet? How long have you both been together? Okay okay, these Aussie lips are sealed, nothing is getting passed them. I feel sorry for any of the staff at the places we take them, just a bunch of famous people rushing in with their feral kids. I know the older ones will take charge, India for sure, she likes looking after kids that are younger than her. She already treats Amalia like a younger sister and teaches her things, it’s cute. Or we could host a party at one of our houses, a BBQ would be fun and then we can keep them all contained and invite other parents.

Great. I’m not sure the risk is worth the reward at this point but we’re going to go with it. I’m no stranger to public embarrassment. Do you want me to recreate the pants splitting incident? I’ll wear underwear this time to save you from the grisly sight that the rest of town had to see. Jesus, between you and Jensen, I’m terrified for my life every single day. I’ve always wanted to learn martial arts and now seems like a good time to become a black belt. I unfortunately did a little bit of exploiting of the kids when they were younger, doing YouTube series and things of that nature but in hindsight, I suppose I was under a lot of pressure from others to share my life constantly. Not that it makes it right. That’s right – for some, that’s their norm, though I try to make it even more “normal” now that I consider myself semi-retired. He moved in across the street and I witnessed him eat shit the very first day while he was trying to bring in boxes. Love at first sight, I guess. It’s been several months now but it feels like it’s been much longer – and I mean that in a good way. You and Natalie knew each other before you moved here, right? Yes, good, keep those lips sealed tight, Hemsworth. I know, I feel sorry for those people that have to put up with all of us. India will get along with Maison for sure then – she has that caretaker personality as well. Oh, a barbecue would be lovely! Of course we’ll have to rope Jensen into that – he’s the grill master after all and we can use him for free beer.
