I hate to be like this but I think it takes a special type of person to enjoy perverts by Ethel Cain. I'd argue it's almost as life changing as preacher's daughter because I feel like it opens a part of your brain you didn't realize was there. I haven't felt music do to me what that album has done. it was just raw feeling that reaches inside you and claws and pulls and twists and leaves you empty. it's scary, overwhelming, beautiful, attractive, carnal, disgusting. it's for the people that are nostalgic for bad times in their lives. specific niches for every area of life. synesthesia. it could be happening to everybody, but not everyone is capable of it (yet) and not everyone will let it.
