Imagination Station

They were beautiful stained glass windows into your soul; resplendent and ever-changing. That’s what drew him in at first. The way they lit up in joy, their sharpness when you were particularly focused, the muted shine of unshed tears after a particularly gruesome day. He was fascinated with all of it.

Sometimes he wished he could show himself to you. How he wished he could see your eyes change because of him. Would they look at him in awe? Fear? Curiosity? The question was merely a whisper, then a suggestion, before finally evolving into an all out war within his mind. He couldn’t - shouldn’t - reveal himself.

Saván wondered when his inner voice became so…temptatious. Where did his unwavering resolve go? Why was it only you that made him so torn?

He gazed at your profile longingly. The sunset caused your face to glow as you watched a passerby from your window. You turned towards him causing him to freeze. Saván assured himself that you couldn’t possibly see him. There was no conceivable way for it to happen.
