if i look a bit smug, it's because i've just discovered (duh!) that i can put my head under the faucet and run cold water all over my head, and i don't make a big puddle or get my shirt all wet b/c i have no hair.  this is a VERY convenient thing about having no hair, and i can't believe i didn't discover this until today.  i shaved my head how many months ago now?  i think it's been nearly 6.  well, necessity breeds invention, eh?  i've cleaned ALL OF the floors and i'm a happier camper, too, because i can clean my head!  also my head is hurting less.

well, today is a mixed bag.  it's like 10 degrees cooler than it's been the last few days.  but i have a migraine that won't go away.  but, i must power through.  i had some serious nausea that i've been battling since an inadequate breakfast, and choking down food was exceptionally difficult, but it did the trick, it seems.  without the nausea, the head pain is something i can work with.  not going to be fun, but at least i won't vomit into my breathing mask.  euw.  sorry i even said that out loud.  but that's what i've been facing the prospect of having happen to me since i woke up.  and i slept really terribly.  it's all my fault for not sleeping inside my couch tent, but the sheet was REALLY bothering me b/c it wouldn't stay up and all tented above me and kept touching my skin, and i had to crawl out and sleep on top.  grrrr...  i just wish someone would come over and help me with this project.  that would help my morale a lot.  but CEE LO GREEN!, well, this song always cheers me up.  revving myself up with a happy song (the song isn't all so happy in sentiment, but it's a happy song for me... very upbeat if you haven't heard it).

i'm trying to keep a positive attitude but, trust me, despite my best efforts, i have moments where i just stand there sweating and staring at all of this stuff for minutes and minutes on end, thinking i just can't move another muscle to finish this at all.  i'm taking breaks as frequently as i need, and an abundance of cool showers (even sometimes just to slip back into dirty work clothes and keep getting dirty).

here's me on the eve of the last day of august, having just completed a major milestone of the closet project. my hair looks pretty much the same as the last photo i put up of myself, but what you can't see is that the mohawk this time goes all the way down the back of my head, b/c (roughly a week ago) amy helped me buzz a straight line down the back. now this time i will grow more bangs, and keep buzzing just the sides. at least until i'm tired of the mohawk thing. ^__^

update, morning of sept 1st: last night i just couldn't stay underneath this thing, so i slept on top of it.  i slept TERRIBLY and i believe i inhaled lots of dust b/c my sinuses are killing me, and i have a migraine that only got better (didn't go entirely away) from taking a maxalt.  this sucks.  but, lesson learned.  wow, i need to wrap this project up really quickly, or amy is going to SUFFER when she returns home.  eek!  if only my head wasn't killing me, the idea of hurrying wouldn't be so unfathomable.  gawrsh.  and how i'm supposed to thoroughly clean up the whole house of this dust, i really have no idea how many times i'll have to run the vacuum.  today is going to be a bummer.
