and kitty can't sue her lol. kitty would tolerate tala as campers, but i think as the years go on, and they grow up, they come to appreciate each other as friends. it's more of a long-distance dynamic where they're both always on the go, but they'll have time to chat and gossip when tala visits the motherlobe, or if kitty needs someone extra for a mission at a fancy gala, then tala is her other go-to girl after her (beloved) franke and (oomfie) lili.

so, when raz is around seven and goes "i...am a boy!" all dramatic-like, tala would just be in so much awe of him. he can do that? just say he's a boy? that means...she can just say she's a girl! it was that easy! and she finally has the words to say why she doesn't like the "boy" outfit - it's because she's a girl! i think this is when she really starts idolizing raz, too, because he declared himself for who he is and inspired mirtala to do the same. (it's a big lightbulb moment for donatella too, because oh! of course! she has another daughter to dote on!) presenting as very feminine is important for tala. she likes being a girl because she is a girl! she's a girl, and no one can tell her otherwise. she's always been a girl, as far as she's concerned, and everyone knows her as a girl. she admires more girls as she grows up, and as a princess, she loves that pretend role where she can be fancy and pretty and play nobility. being a prima donna is important to her since she wants to follow in her mother's footsteps and be as graceful and beautiful as her, but also still admires raz for his confidence. (tho, tala tends to admire way more girls as she grows up like lili and kitty, the latter for being confident and poised despite her manipulative ways. she also loooves girls and wants to find her princess...who just happens to come from outer space and wears a pretty bow and she's smart and knows everything and her name starts with a c and her last name starts with a b, and mirtala knows their names will be written in the stars, and she's saying this with a biiig romantic sigh. meanwhile, chloe is like hm. fascinating zwickian thought process.)

raz would come home from the motherlobe for a visit and take one look at tala's big change and need a minute for his eyes to readjust because who is that. dion tells him it's tala. raz does not believe him. dion looks very tired. mirtala tries to be bold, but her favorite brother's stunned reaction makes her kind of uneasy. she does hinge on approval and feeling included. but i think tala wouldn't be in that "stereotypical" scene kid persona. it would probably happen when she's around 13/14 with new change coming to the family like what raz wants to do with his life, frazie possibly going off to do her own thing (even for a little bit, just to get a chance to explore the world after years of feeling constrained in her family). with tala, scene would be an interesting choice because it's such a unique expression. it's bold, glaring, and popping. it brings that odd sense of happiness in that she gets to differentiate herself from her siblings. at this age, i think she views herself a little bit as a black sheep, kind of in the background, feeling not as special or smart, those little nitpicks bothering as she sees her older siblings start to succeed or strive or move on while she's still tala, acting the same way, being the same way, the little prima donna princess of the family. as the actual scene kid stuff (because i got a little invested in analyzing lol), man, she would love combining colors with black clothing. black and white fingerless gloves! fake spiked belt that loops down to her knee! straightened and pressed and dyed hair! (donatella is mortified! tala would definitely stop this when she realizes her beautiful hair is getting crispy) the culture! the glomps! oh, my god, the glomps. she's the type who glomps no matter what, and to make this about My Brand(tm), she's like mako sailing in to hug ryuko when it comes to chloe no matter her age (except camper ages because chloe is like hello. my personal bubble. thank you. and tala respects it...until she thinks she can go in for another when chloe says it's fine.) i think tala would unironically love invader zim, but she would get creeped out by some of the "grosser" parts (like the episode where zim eats a bunch of organs or whatever or regular toilet humor) - she doesn't want to be seen as a poser tho! (she's kind of a poser when it comes to scene lol - she's more comfortable wearing her aquato-styled clothes...with a scene twist!) in the end, i think she comes out of that phase looking back on it fondly! donatella is doing her best to ignore how many times tala would huff, "you're not the boss of me, mom!" or something along those lines.

with pn2, now that he understood how his actions impacted raz, changes his tune with an interest in raz. it's almost like the curse doesn't matter to him when it was his primary fuel to hate psychics. i wish he had more of a "clash" with his newfound interest in his powers and his long-standing hatred to psychics. that dichotomy of wanting to tap into a side of himself repressed for decades vs those decades spent hating psychics for murdering his father and cursing his beloved family to drown. he was overtly cheerful, the peacekeeper, and while this is great in a way to explore donatella, dion, and frazie in that his change forces them to react and fret, i think it's a shame that those negative attributes weren't explored in tandem.

it's no wonder why he ends up liking being by himself. his "me time" gives him a chance to be away from all that while doing it in a way that won't hurt his family. he knows what actions will bring possible harm, so i think he avoids them.
