At fifteen she made the pilgrimage but failed before she could reach the second to last shrine along the journey to the Inner Sanctum
She was met with scrutiny because of it which left her heavily disappointed in herself
Not long after the Snow Prince falls, and his death leads to endless slaughter. She along with any remaining individuals of her village fled underground and sought aid from the Dwemer
Their hospitality is kind at first but soon Morthaloth began to notice her eyesight fading and her body weakening, realising that what they were being fed was poisoning their senses; taking away their sight. The toxin they were fed irritated the regions around the eyes as well, Morthaloth in her desperation clawing them out in an effort to make the feeling stop, but to little avail.
10 years of ongoing torment and blinding until their spirits were broken
Mortha to this day doesn't really recall how she managed to escape, whether for once luck was on her side or the gods took a sliver of pity on her just this once but she managed to get out, but was forced to then keep living on with the fact that she may be one of the only ones left
Sensitive and gentle-hearted, she is a kind soul but can come across as rather timid. Often times than not questioning herself and doubting all she feel, feeling a lot of self-blame.
She can hold herself well in a fight, but she would rather deal with everything through diplomacy and talk rather than spilling blood.
She feels like her failure not only took away the blessing she once had but turned Auri-El away from her entirely, and try as she could she could never repent for it.

Has learned to listen and feel for magical auras to understand her surroundings and those around her. The most recognisable to her is Kadota's (@drachniid 's character), a changeling she befriends and grows closer to over time, whom found her when she needed someone the most
i see many requests for interaction and connection in my sphere and i nearly always will reach out to interact and connect because i am not shy. and then be entirely unresponded to anyway. im starting to think people like whining about lack of community more than they like exerting the effort to build one

maybe its just a symptom of not being shy on the website where the arguable highest shy person concentration is but iunno im getting kinda tired of seeing and responding to no-notes requests for socialization and then the person making the request not doing what they said they wanna (which is to socialize, which is to talk ocs, which is to do x or y, which was freely indulged by TES Peer)
