God, this is the welcome back I get? Who let you in here??
I let myself in. Reality manipulation and all that :3
“Do you want to see a magic trick?” Aster’s smile and eyes appeared, glowing ominously as she popped up behind Melanie. Her tail manifested, swishing back and forth, an indication she was ready to play.
@mirage-whispers
“GAH!” Melanie jumped, her wings puffing up in surprise. “Eh? Who are you?” She asked, confused.
“I can’t trust you. People say things, but how am I supposed to know? How can I know? I never had a Mom. I barely have a Dad. There is no way to prove I will never be alone again.” Aster bit at her lip with her fang.
“You’re right. But there’s also no way to prove that you will be alone forever. I am not trying to steal you from your father. I am only here to let you know that there are other people who care. More than just Melanie and myself.”
“I just want Dad to love me.” Aster’s tail dropped, and she glanced at the ground. Her head hurt from the bombardment of tears.
Lilith gathered her in her arms again. Using her power to ease the physical pain. “Love that has to be earned like a prize isn’t love.”
Aster swallowed her tears, her jaw quivering. “Then what do you want me to do? Run away and be alone again?”
“No. I want you to know that I am here for you. That I will come when you call. Speak my name and I will be there.”
“Maybe I should run away..” Aster mumbled.
“That’s your decision to make. I will not encourage nor stop you.”
“I don’t know what to do.. my chest hurts. I can’t do this.”
“Focus on this moment for now. Breathe deep, it’ll help. You don’t need to make any decisions right this second. Take your time. Weigh your options. You’re a very smart girl, Aster. I trust you’ll be thorough.”
“I want Melanie.” Aster mewled. “I’m not smart. I don’t like you. You scare me.”
“Very well.”
“Hey kid, I’m here. I’m right here, KitKat.”
“KitKat? Why are you calling me that? That’s not my name.” Aster narrowed her eyes.
Melanie chuckled. “It’s a nickname, kid. Term of endearment.”
Aster titled her head, her ears flopping onto each other. “I’ve never had a nickname before, unless you count useless bastard or waste of space.”
“I don’t, so now you’re KitKat.” Melanie said, petting her ears.
Aster started to purr, her tail curling into a half heart. She made little mewls, her nose twisting. “I like that..”
Melanie smiled, giving her plenty of scritches.
Aster headbutt Melanie, rubbing her cheek against her. She, like a cat, had scent glands in her cheeks and behind the ears, essentially marking Melanie as her territory.
Melanie is happy to pet her and keep her calm. “Tell you what, kid, you hungry? We could get some food, some ice cream after.”
Aster swayed slightly, purring loudly as Melanie kept up the pets. “I’m hungry.”
“Alright, what are you in the mood for?”
“I don’t know. Any meat.. veal. Venison..” Aster licked her lips
“I know a pretty good steakhouse in town.”
Aster’s ears dropped, and she moved away from Melanie. Her tail flicked out of nerves. “Actually, no, I’m fine. I don’t want to go in public. I’ll be fine. No people.”
“Oh! Okay then, I’ll cook for you. You alright with waiting? We should have some nice meat to make.”
Aster stared at Melanie, then nodded. “I can wait. I’m used to waiting. Waiting is all I do. If I don’t wait, I disappoint.”
@nevermore-mindreader
“Uh huh. Come on inside. You can help me cook.”
“Oh, I don’t know how to cook.” Aster padded after Melanie, staying alert for anything off.
“Even better! I can teach you the ropes.”
“I’m not sure that’s a good idea.” She mewled, her tail swishing back and forth. “I can always use my reality manipulation to get something.”
“Yeah, but I like teaching and it’s fun.”
Aster made an annoyed mewled, sniffing the air of the house. Weird.
“If you think teaching me would be fun. I just want food. I’m getting hangry.”
Melanie offered her some snacks in the meantime while she got set up.
Aster chewed on the snacks like a rat, crunching them down with her front teeth. She popped up next to Melanie.
“You smell sweet. Do you make sweet things?”
Melanie nodded. “Sometimes I do. I also wear perfume.” She put some butter in a pan. “You want to put the meat in?”
Aster jumped onto the counter, her tail swaying as she watched the butter pop. She grabbed the meat, slicing open the package, then plopped it in. Hot butter splattered on her, and she hissed.
“STUPID BUTTER. STUPID STUPID!”
Melanie quickly put a cold compress on it. “That better?”
Aster made an annoyed face, her ear twitching. “A little bit. Hate butter.”
“Butter is indeed worthy of hating.” She chuckled.
“Can we eat now? I’m hungry. Dad says I wine too much when asking for food, but I’m super hungry.” Aster’s ears pin back.
“I haven’t eaten in a few days.”
A small were-kitten with calico fur dashes by, chasing after a butterfly in wonder. She squeaks as she misses trying to catch it, falling directly on her face.
Aster jumped at the noise, the fur on her tail raised. Her ears were pulled back, pupils in a thin slit. She stalked over to Diamond, sniffing the other.
“Who are you?” Aster grunted out, too wary to approach further.
@ace-of-paws
The kitten looks up, tilting her head.
“Dia.”
She answers matter of factly, pinning her large fuzzy ears back.
“Who’re you-?”
The small girl asked cautiously. She didn’t want to run into another bad guy…
Aster took on a threatening stance. She couldn’t take chances, even if the other’s scent was pure.
“I am Aster. What are your motives?”
The kitten mews quietly, fluffing out her tail.
“I wanted to touch the pretty butterfly… it was blue.”
Diamond frowns.
“Are you a scary people stealer…?”
“A scary what? No. I don’t steal people.” Aster’s tail fur flattened. “So you’re not a threat?”
“Do you want to see a magic trick?” Aster’s smile and eyes appeared, glowing ominously as she popped up behind Melanie. Her tail manifested, swishing back and forth, an indication she was ready to play.

@nevermore-mindreader
“Uh huh. Come on inside. You can help me cook.”
“Oh, I don’t know how to cook.” Aster padded after Melanie, staying alert for anything off.
“Papa!”

Hi little one
“You’re back! You’re back! You’re back!” She purred, her tail going crazy.
“How was the trip? You should have taken me. I should’ve come.”
Sienna tilts her head at the child as she leans over. Her purple dress sways as she smiles widely. "Oh wow... Look at you, causing all this mischief so easily..."
@ancient-siren
Aster popped out a portal in the ceiling, her claws gripping onto the rippling fabric. She tilted her head, smiling.
“It’s my specialty!”
Sienna tilts her head up as she hums. Red eyes staring back towards her. "I can see that darlin', reminds me of your father."
“I think I’m more mischievous than my father. He’s more rip and tear. I like to play. He doesn’t.” Aster’s ear twitched, her tail standing up.
Sienna nods her head at this. She hums softly as she walks over. "Oh that's fair. One of the many things I like about him."
She eyes the child as she tilts her head. She taps her fingers together as she smiles. Extending a hand out "I'm Sienna...."
Aster shook Sienna’s hand, popping out of the portal. She landed on her feet, her paws making a soft thump.
“Hi Sienna. Do I know you? You seem to know me.”
"I heard rumors of you is all." Sienna mentioned as she shook her head. Her eyes shimmer as she looked the dear over. "Can I say I like your style..."
“Oh thank you. I do have a pretty cool style!” Aster twirled, her scarf swaying.
Sienna smiles as she nods her head. "That's true...." She was quiet for a second. "Say. How about you and me make some chaos together huh? You can travel through the dimensions... I can travel through universes... Imagine the mess we can make."
“What kinda of chaos? I don’t want to clean up anything. I hate cleaning up stuff.” Aster grumbled.
"Oh heavens no. We'll be gone before then and leave it for that world.." she smiles as she thinks.
Aster blinked, thinking. “Hmm, what so I get out of it?”
"Well.... How long has it been since you've seen your father..?" Sienna tilts her head as she smiles. Red eyes narrowing slightly. "I think he's missed his cub enough."
“Um, a few days I think..” Her ears drooped as she stared at those red eyes.
“Do you want to see a magic trick?” Aster’s smile and eyes appeared, glowing ominously as she popped up behind Melanie. Her tail manifested, swishing back and forth, an indication she was ready to play.
