OH MY GOD

Jeremy Zag tweeted a poll today, revealing there’s a planned live-action adaptation of the show. No, not just a film adaptation, but a series as well. Yes they’re investing resources into making an adaptation of a show barely in its second season. 

This frustrates me because instead of focusing time and energy into making an already successful show the best it can be, they’re spreading themselves thin and bouncing all over the place. Like??? Nobody asked for this? You’ve already delayed the main show three times—we started this in 2015 and now 2018 is around the corner and we aren’t even halfway through the second season. I understand there are difficulties when it comes to animation and coordinating worldwide broadcasts. I really do. But when I see new projects suddenly launched into production left and right, it makes me mad. You’re already struggling with one, and now you’re taking on more? It feels like a cash-grab—like some execs in LA are pushing a young studio to pump out as much content as possible to follow the Marvel/DC hype train. 

Just—look at the list of postponed/delayed/on hiatus/cancelled projects;

- A complete second/third/fourth season. - A web-series. - A chibi show. - Three 40 minute specials—with one delivered but only 20 minutes. - Multiple(?) comic series. - Various merch. - A clothing line in partnership with GAP. - A live-action movie. - The release of a few season two episodes in theaters - A live-action TV series. 

Don’t forget other shows, like Zak Storm, Pixie Girl, Ghost Force, and god knows what else, are also in production at the moment. 

Zag, sweetie, I am perfectly content with just the CGI animated show. There’s no need to promise me the moon and stars—resulting in a large quantity of mediocre content. One thing at a time, take as long as you need.
