Thinking of her childhood is so bittersweet. Mal was so full of life, had dreams once and all that got twisted into such cynicism and apathy.

This is a very important journey for Jeanne as she's visiting the land where her long dead birth father lived. Inspired by Shadowheart finding her parents, Jeanne returns to trying to find as much information about her birth parents as she cans, where they're from and how their culture is like. In this case her dad who was from Calimshan who was a Ranger from a family of Merchants. She always wanted to learn more about her parents but she never knew anything about them and couldn't find anything related to them in any records she read and so did her adoptive mother. But when she Shadowheart and the other members of the group raided the cloister of sombre embrace she found a logbook in Minthara's chambers which contained a lot of information on her parents and the way they died. The sharrans burned the farm to the ground. She was devastated by this, but at least she had the pieces for her research. Shadowheart is very supportive and she accompanies her in all her journeys. She would also visit Sossrim, a long distant land with an artic climate which was where her mother was from. She and Shadowheart would learn how to Skii there and they would take up the activity every winter.<3
