And we’re off! Julie Maxton, the Society’s Executive Director, welcomes this year’s exhibitors. Today they’re meeting the exhibition team and learning about what they’ll need to do between now and the exhibition in July.
Had a fun time telling this year's exhibitors how we put together the Mini Motors exhibit and survived the week. Looking forward to seeing their stands in the summer. Save the date 2nd-7th July 2013!
Kinesin have a starring role in Secret Universe: The Hidden Life of the Cell. If you missed it you can catch up on iPlayer until the 28th October 2012.

A photograph of the DNA motor feature from the Mini Motors exhibit has been used on the front cover of the Oxford Physics Undergraduate Course Handbook - see: http://www2.physics.ox.ac.uk/sites/default/files/2011-06-03/course_1_pdf_91811.pdf
They were even able to ask current undergraduate and graduate students if the courses were still the same.
Lots of Oxford Physics alumni came back for a visit and to find out what research is happening at the department now.
However, there were still lots of wind-up swimming toys to demonstrate low Reynolds number environments.

We designed the scale poster on our stand ourselves so is not commercially available. If you would like a high resolution file to print out yourself do get in touch by following this link.
Lots of people wanted to know where we got our DNA models from so here's the link!
