for so long I always tried to polish the lies, expand the truth and hide a side of me to everyone in my life. I don’t know how or when I got there but all that mattered is that at one point, I was there. 

fighting my demons in a war I was not prepared for. all I wanted was a chance, a chance to live life. its crazy how past traumas can affect how you make decisions for your future, It can block so many blessings due to you being mis-guided and emotionally neglected.

no matter how hard it may be, here I am now to tell my story 

Some days I wonder if I will ever find true love, “the one” they call it. Is there such thing as the “perfect man” seems to me like none of us are perfect, man or woman. There is more wrong than right in this world and that’s the problem. People are quick to choose comfort than choosing what’s best for them. I’d rather come home to an empty peaceful home in the future than a toxic home. Call me traumatized or damaged but I cannot change who I am, I cannot stop myself from protecting myself. You know my abuelita always says “A woman is meant to be with a man, we are meant to belong to a man” and I say no, that's NOT all we’re meant for because we belong to ourselves. Because, when has a “man” ever added more than subtracting from your life?
