Vincent sighed and pushed the people to go back to what they were doing. “Then I don’t think you understand what being able to watch you does.” He took a sip of his drink and focused all of his attention on her. “To see and feel how much the others around you want you, and knowing that you’re all mine.”
Mina tried to cover the smirk that his words left on her face but failed. “Well I’ve committed to pouting, I can’t just abandon that now.” She looked around the dancefloor and sighed. “All I wanted was to tease you a little until you were so frustrated you dragged me to your office then blow you there. You are always ruining my plans.” Despite her words she started to dance occasionally locking eyes with those closest to her.

Vincent arched his brow as he took his own seat. “A surprise?” Now he was more intrigued but would hold off and not ruin whatever it was she had planned. “Do I get to have any sort of hints at what it might be?”
“I can tell you that it’ll make it feel more like home for you. And you’ll enjoy it.” Mina grinned. She was very excited to share it with him. “But for now you must wait.”

Vincent growled as Mina moved away from him. Instead of following her though he made his way back to the bar and grabbed a drink that was waiting for him before focusing his attention back on her. “If you’re going to be like that, I’d much rather watch you dance.”
When she looked back and he wasn’t there Mina scanned the crowd. She didn’t see him and chewed on her lip. Narrowing her eyes when she spotted him at the bar, Mina turned away and crossed her arms over his chest. “No. If you aren’t going to play along then you don’t get to watch.” She waved her hand and immediately Vincent was surrounded with humans so he couldn’t see her.

“Ah.” Vincent pulled everything out and started taking the food to the table. “That would be helpful. Cleanup after those storms are never fun.” He stood behind her chair and pulled it out for her. “I need to make a trip out there soon to see how things are going.”
Mina took a seat. “Thank you.” She shook her head. “You don’t need to go looking around there until it’s finished. I have a surprise for that isn’t ready yet.” That part of the island was almost complete.

Vincent grumbled when she mentioned who she was taking with her. “I’d rather send someone from our clan with you.” He kissed the top of her head and moved toward the stove when he could smell that the food was done. “What are you working on?”
“I think he’s perfect.” She won’t have to worry about Kataru spilling her secrets, especially about Vincent’s surprise. Mina wanted him to be blindsided with everything she created for him on their island. “Just something to redirect storms threatening the island. The Atlanteans had been working on something that I’ve been tweaking.”

“I have amazing self control.” Vincent growled and pulled her tighter against him. If she was going to make this some sort of game then he was all too willing to play. “You should know that by now.” His lips hovered over the skin of her neck as he spoke.
Mina grinned. “You’re not exactly known for your self control, Dagan.” As she chuckled, Mina gripped his wrist and pushed his hand down her body. Leaning back against him, she nipped at his earlobe. “I know your weaknesses, my love.”

Vincent put his arm around her and smirked. “Nothing really, it just needs to finish cooking, which shouldn’t be too much longer.” He brought their glasses over to them and took a sip.
Mina rested her head against his chest and took her glass. She sipped the wine and felt the calm from him affecting her. “Oh!” He head popped up and she met eyes with him. “I won’t be around much next week. There’s something I’m working on the island. I’ll be taking Kataru to help with a few things.”

“Dagan...” Mina pried his hands off her body and held them straight out to their sides as she continued to dance. “Ruffling your feathers is my very favorite hobby.” With that, Mina dropped her ass backward into him moving against him to the music. She grinned as she folded his hands back in slowly and looked up at Vincent with large, innocent eyes. “What is the king of the gods going to do about it?” She asked batting her lashes, knowing that she just lit a fire in the middle of the dance floor.

“You did nothing of the sort.” Vincent pulled her back toward the kitchen so they could finish cooking dinner. “We can still enjoy today and worry about what comes next tomorrow. Unless you need me to do something immediately.”
“No, no. Nothing needs to be done tonight.” She followed him to the kitchen. “What’s left to do?” Her mood much lighter than minutes ago. Mina placed a hand on his butt.

Vincent chuckled and kissed her. “Well I’m certainly glad to have your approval. And now I’m sure which I enjoy more, dancing with you or watching you dance.”
“I like having you as a partner.” Mina used her abilities to change the music to something a little more sensual. She spun around with her back to Vincent, moving her hips in a way that was just daring him to touch her.

Vincent listened and let her pull away when she was done speaking. It saddened him that she had been dealing with this all alone for so long when he could have helped her. He followed behind her and placed his hand on her lower back but didn’t pull her close so that she could have the space she needed.
“I will help you. Memory might not be my specialty but I can help, even if it will take a few goes. This is not a burden you need to go through anymore.”
The air from outside helped to settle her panic attack. Vincent’s touch calmed her further. “You won’t like what you’ll see.” Mina knew he felt guilty for allowing the Council to have so much say over others. She wasn’t certain that he even knew the extent of their sins and once glimpse in her head would show him everything.
