I love it when people make it so that Micro and Saps banter a lot, because, well, they do seem like the type to do so !! and honestly, Saps does give a playful older sibling vibe. however I will always love it further when Saps is written anyway to be overprotective, and to the extent that he's arguably more protective than Jophiel.
Saps to me is a character that cares about his loved ones so much that he's willing to betray a thousand people for them, and when it comes to family, there will be no doubt or hesitation. He is a character that's always been the type to be to be teaseful, merely because he values getting a smile out of his siblings that don't seem to flash a smile everyday. He is a character that I believe acts more than the term "older brother," but considering him as "parental" erases the sibling bond he has with Micro and Snowbird in particular. And I think the reason why it's so important for me to specify that they have a "sibling bond" rather than a "father-son bond" is because it can emphasize how much Saps values Micro and how much Micro trusts Sapsโthat they're just siblings, but their care for one another goes past of a parental one.
although I typically enjoy and adore any sort of meatmaster duo dynamic, there is just something that intrigues me whenever they have the strongest bond in the quartet. There is something about their relation that draws me in whenever they seem to be a sort of duo that can't be anything along the lines of "strained." Out of all the people in the feathersiblings, I believe Micro is the closest with Saps. There's something about him that prompts Micro to confide in himโsomething in the like that they're so similar, and therefore it's easier to rely on him than it is to rely on Jophiel or Snowbird.
beyond that, I do hope for more people to delve into the sweeter part of Micro and Saps' sibling bondโthe one where they aren't just a sort of comedic relief, and that their care for one another is seen so clearly in the way they were written. :') I love the meatmasters sibling duo but I love it more when they're written with a specific kind of depth; in the way that Saps carries big brother instincts over Micro, because, honestly, Saps is the big brother to ever exist ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ๐ oh saps saparata never stop being the older brother that bullies his own siblings but when they show the slightest hint of being upset he drops everything and forcefully shatters his own bravado. or that sibling that will always make fun of his younger siblings but when other people do it he immediately starts throwing hands.

I think the fear of a "wrong" dynamic, "wrong" interpretation, and the possibility of just being ooc is something so apparent in the state fandom when it's not really meant to be that way because most of the fandom is actually built on the creative imagination of it's fans. but like. that's for another post lol. I'm itching so bad to make a post about it with every single talk abt it on twt.
