drew up a quick ref for my postcanon AU primo, plus some other doodles... oh the intricacies of being a reanimated angelic robot clone with two sets of memories and a real sour attitude
'rinascita' means 'rebirth' in italian â€
Attempt Two of Drawing Primo/Placido
(At least he doesn't look weird)
At least this is "better" than the earlier one that I drew, but I most likely still didn't do him justice though (TâT)
Welp, I tried anyways and that's all that matters â(ïŸ ïœïŸ )â
Chibi Primo/Placido
Uh . . . I have a perfectly good reason for another Primo drawing this quick . . . I swear ( ._. )''' Also most of them aren't colored because I don't have many variants of gray as a pen color
So, uh, I wrote a thing
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Summary:
Placido was strong, independent, tormented. It was hard for anything to give him peace, hard for anyone to offer him solace. Who would have thought the one place he would find solace in, the one place he was able to sleep, would be the home of his old enemy?
(Aka Placido is sick of his home and ends up finding that Yusei's place is actually very peaceful and provides the perfect white noise for Placido to finally breathe, and Yusei himself is a very comforting person.)
Yes, it's highsidershipping! I've finally uploaded something that's actually Yusei/Placido (okay fine platonically and not yet am established relationships but still-)

okay listen i just saw this post and. i had to
*sees a motorcycle* aw man guys youre not gonna believe this
I'm gonna apologise in advance for how dark this is, but looking at your recent Placidodumping from the tag force games... i feel like he's geniunely suicidal, and even if not exactly suicidal then he has no concept of self-worth.
Like, he's way too happy to die. Being willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of the future is dark enough. But the fact that he's saying he will be able to rest? That he's expecting you to be happy to die too? Yeah, that's the darkest part.
Placido's literally come from hell, but he's not even trying to save himself. He's not just acceptant of his fate, he's welcoming it, and it makes me wonder just how much he's been through. His despair, is it entirely from the memories he's been created from? Or is it from something else? *coughcoughashittyoldmancoughcough* Thinking of the Jakob part in tag force, how he straight up killed Placido and Lester, how he spoke about them, I feel like it wouldn't be too far fetched to assume he's said these things to Placido's face (and let's not forget how Zone spoke to Placido-and only Placido- in duel links)
Perhaps Placido's real despair wasn't the inherited trauma from Aporia.
Maybe it was the way he was treated by the only people around him. One of his duel links lines is "it's so sad when you have no one to love" and yet the other Iliaster members are right there, as family. And yet, he didn't get love from them.
Maybe he could have been saved if someone did love him. Maybe then he would have had something to live for.
(Apologies for the mini essay in here it was supposed to be a few sentences and then suddenly I've written an essay)
OH YEAH NO FOR SURE we are definitely WELL past the point of Primoplacido Yugioh 5D's having a true sense of self-worth in any emotional or psychologically 'human' way, but I think when analyzing that (and his behavior that could definitely be labeled some form of suicidal) it's important to approach it less from a "oh what [abuse/traumatic event/negative feedback] has he personally been through to cause this" and more from a "what are the circumstances of Primo's creation and how does that effect him." The former is still an important element of course, but it's a bit of a disservice to his character to attempt to 100% separate him from Aporia when dissecting what's going on with him; one really can't exist without the other! (i.e. Primo was only brought into being via Aporia's memories and suffering, and Aporia as we see him in-show only can be brought into being when the emperors fuse....the cyclical infinite nature of these characters runs very very deep hehehe)
imo it's not an either/or situation with Primo's despair--I think his completely fucked sense of self worth stems from the trauma he's inherited by being a piece of Aporia AND the bullshit he deals with from his peers currently AND, also, the inescapable fact that Primo was Created To Act Under a Specific Set of Parameters. more after the cut, lots of analyzing this miserable Swordbot9000, apologies for the Epic of Gilgacidomesh
so the thing with the Three Pure Nobles' routes in Tag Force 6, they all are effectively the same set up (same set of WRGP duels, same 'endgame' (i.e. the Ark appearing)) but their Team 5D's opponents in the last round are all different, and then once you GET on the Ark Cradle these three just start saying the most harrowing shit at you and you can't leave and it's been in my brain for like 6+ months
they each make it very very clear to you how aware they are that theyre like.... not people, they're mechanical Things born from a moment of Agonizing Despair. Created by someone else.
^I wonder if him talking in first-person pronouns when describing the past is a fan translation choice or if this really is a situation of him being so distressed that Aporia's memories actually feel like something tangible and real he was There For. 8( (since it's established that Emperors learning theyre parts of someone else is a fairly recent happening--those memories were sealed off in their programming prior to Primo getting ripped in half)
Anyway with Primo you see how this burdened knowledge of being built from Literally Some Guy's Trauma is bleeding into his entire belief system (which is already kind of scrombled to begin with)
GOD. GOD!!! I feel like too often I see people characterize Primo and his cohorts as 1:1 copies of Aporia's various life stages (or literally them having been once human and "made" into robots later,) and/or as beings completely separated from Aporia entirely, and neither of those takes are really all that correct!! The Emperors are more like slightly off photocopies of Aporia, gijinkas of the worst moments of his life. They're not him, BUT, his memories are what made them, they're vessels for carrying his despair, and Aporia's themes and motifs are still baked into them at the very core. I've gone off before about Apo's ouroboros motif and this is one of the rare times YOU SEE IT SHOW UP WITH PRIMO TOO!!! IT'S CYCLICAL SUFFERING ALL THE WAY DOWN WITH THESE GUYS
You also get this really moderately distressing glimpse into how dedicated to the Emperor's 'God' (Z-one. Just Some Guy.) Primo is (and also how he considers his sword to be a great power Z-one has blessed him with, which i just think is cool. (^: archangel moment !)
he is SO hyped about purveying God's will with you!!! Immediately after this is when he starts revealing he's ALSO really hyped about getting to finally die in the name of Iliaster's mission, which I talked about in my other post about this route.
aahhaha...that's real cool buddy <:)....... <8,)
Anyway since this story event starts with Primo just killing Yusei in front of Akiza, she's then apparently approaching fast on Primo's location with the rest of the Signers, and it's all but stated that you WILL be taking care of that with him.
JUST. HIS GNARLY LITTLE SMILE SPRITE GETS ME HERE SO BAD. THE CACKLING. guy who was programmed to go to the ends of the earth for another man's cause. guy who fully believes in inflicting the despair that he's made of upon his enemies (suffer just as I have </3) mechanical avenging angel. God's specialest living weapon. there is NOTHING in TF6 that indicates finishing Primo's heart events will culminate this. he's so fucked up. it rules
absolutely fucked UP losing my damn mind seeing Z-one got added to the gate in duel links and finding out that for some reason they didn't give him individualized unique duel initiate/win dialogue for, like, characters he ACTUALLY dueled in canon (yusei, aporia), but THEY SURE AS HELL GAVE HIM UNIQUE DIALOGUE FOR TALKING TO PRIMO. THIS IS THE ONLY CHARACTER Z-ONE SAYS THIS SHIT TO. COMPLETELY OUT OF POCKET UNPROMPTED. IM??!? OK COOL. PAINED SMILE.
calling Primo a fucking FLEA......thinking about that vs. the way primo himself notoriously compares humans to insects...haha alright ok ok that's learned behavior then, ok. the way you have more in common with your adversaries than you care to realize. you are just as insignificant as the humans you so despise. NEAT. VERY COOL.

Yugioh Rare Pair Week (Belated) Day 2 - Hurt/Comfort
THIS bozo thought she could knock out a comic in a day and half and then ended up taking 5 days insteadâŠ. whoops!! anyway, scenario where Yusei has to put his mechanical know-how into fixing Primo for some reason or anotherâŠsomething something the intimacy of repairing fine machineryâŠ. something something someone so adamantly proclaiming to be unloved and unloveable being shown patience and raw, genuine kindness and not knowing what to do about it⊠thatâs the good stuff. to me.
@ygorarepairweek
I just imagine him randomly appearing somewhere and making fun of people, and no one knows where he belongs too
Such a fun little fella
First of all asdfgsksjshi you're following me?! Mini freak out from me as i can't believe someone with such cool art is following me X3 (i wanna follow you but some of your art is a bit nswf and I'm scared of it popping up on my feed and my strict parents seeing XD)
Also may I inquire...
Soft Placido headcanons with him and a s/o whose sick/on period???
And may I add that Lucciano's hair smells like a giant strawberry because he uses strawberry scented shampoo and Placido lies about how much he likes it- and any innocence Lucciano had was destroyed because José watches too many adult dramas and so Lucciano knows more things than a 12 year old should (yes i know he's not technically 12 but it's funnier that way)
Somehow someone being afraid of their parents seeing my drawings is, like, the the strangest and greatest thing I've ever heard. Being thirsty for some Fail-Terminator has reached the next level and I'm all here for it! Totally understand tho, posted a lot of things I wouldn't show my own parents. The day my family discovers my social media accounts is the day I'm going to bury myself. Oh god. [ ± _ ± ]
I don't know how soft some headcanons to that are going to be, because... let's face it...
Your own reproductive organs or your immune system working on punching you down? Weak. Embarrassing. Look, that's one of the many reasons why being a human sucks and one should really start thinking about getting some nice, shiny bionic replacements. Why even leave the house when you can't become one with your vehicle of choice? BUT don't you worry! Placido will make sure no one but him will see his s/o in this situation! Protecting their pride and all that even if it's the last thing on their mind. Getting a nice heated blanked and some hot tea to make sure one doesn't have to leave the bed. Making dinner. Doing the housework. Making sure the blinds are down so not even the mailman has to see them in their misery. One could probably ask him for a new TV or whatever in that situation and he would get one as long as they STAY IN BED, god damn it! (Âș ⥠Âș)
There are the people that look directly for some nice home remedies and those that go on a trip to a pharmacy. Then there is Placido that does everything that Google Search tells him to do after googling the symptomes. Everything. His s/o always has to explain to him, that no, they don't have cancer just because the internet says they have it.
He probably wears cloves and a face mask because of how disgusting most illnesses are. He can't get sick himself but there is no way he will in any way or form be in direct contact with snot or whatever it is that's coming out that time.
Ah, reading that really makes me think living with Placido would be one big comedy. He's so dramatic. Really needs some chill.
Strawberry scented shampoo would be very mature. Last time I was forced to spend time with 12 year olds they seemed to like Axe Bodysprays and shampoos a little bit more. But Lucciano does IS (uh, supposed to be) more mature than his design so it would probably suit him very well! A lot more easy on the nose too. But I can see the scent being a little overshadowed by the conditioner. No one can tell me Lucciano, with his long ass hair, doesn't use one.
Reading innocence and Lucciano in one sentence is like Placido and patience. Not sure he ever had any to begin with but JosĂ© being the reason why it's gone is... sort of the funniest reason, to be honest. He's calling him a brat while he's one of the reasons he is one. Poor JosĂ© can't catch a break. â(ïżŁăźïżŁ)â
Sorry that it took so long to answer, by the way. I was visiting relatives over easter. Not much time with all the nieces and nephews running around.

This was a lot funnier in my head
Strawberry Sweet
Pairing: Androidshipping (AntinomyxPlacido)
Itâs been hot the last couple of days. The sanctuary had a good air conditioning system as it had once been an old laboratory before itâs inhabitats had to flee during the slaugthering of humanity. The system had been unused for years before the building was made into a new home by the last living (?) humanoids on earth which was the reason why not every room was profiting from it. But the rooms that were usually gave passable shelter from the temperatures outside. But today, reliefe wouldâve only been possible had one gone into the freezer. The summer heat was unbearable to that point. Antinomy had met Paradox shortly in the morning but not since then. Probably hiding in the shades as his long hair tended to go frizzy whenever the air got to warm. Also not wanting to be found due to that. Of Z-One, someone suffering under sensitive skin, he didnât even saw a sign that he lived there. Maybe shut in his room so his skin wouldnât act up in the heat. It promised to be a quiet day. He himself didnât had any trouble with the weather. With his synthethic skin, metallic body and short blue hair. So meeting Placido sitting quietly outside in the shades shouldnât have been the surprise it was. They had nearly the same bodies after all. It was rare meeting him alone. Ever since his awakening it was only possible to see him in test scenarios with his two other parts. His system was still young and learning. An important time to teach him all there was to his role in life. Humanity, itâs past, itâs future and duelling. He still had a long way to go. To Antinomy, who once had lived trough the same, it was an interesting process to witness. Even more so watching him go from a quiet, reserved robot who rarely spoke a single word to someone who had quite a temper and a lot of pride. A little like the sea, going from quiet to loud and raging when disturbed. He was building his own personality every single day of his still fresh existence. It was fascinating. Like watching a bird that was learning how to fly. Even if the bird in question was caged in and not meant to ever go far with those wings of his.
They had a complicated relationship. While Antinomys interest in Placido was born out of curiosity, Placidos hadnât even sparked yet. Most of the times he didnât even look him into his eyes when he tried to start a conversation before rudely brushing him off. His rare answers to questions were always short and to the point. Getting him to talk about possible interests, hobbies or simple things that didnât had anything to do with his learning process was like pulling teeth out of an angry dog ready to pounce on you. He tended to get violent easily when one would corner him like that. Lashing out with harsh words and even his sword. He didnât do the same to humans when they tried simulations programs on him to get him used to a planet were people actually lived on. They werenât even real but still⊠Harsh words, yes. But never outright violence.
âItâs nice of youâ, he once said to him after one of those lessons, âthat you are so careful with them. They break easily, you know.â Watching his face go different colors from his words alone had been funny. His silence afterwards less so. He was avoiding him for days after that.
âItâs nice meeting you here. We havenât spoken in a whileâ, he said and lazily made a greeting gesture with his left hand. The red eyes that laid on him after noticing him burned brighter than the sun for the short moment they looked at him, before they strayed away from him again uninterested. âIt would have been nice if it wouldâve stayed that way. Itâs uncomfortable having you always haunt me like thatâ, came the unhappy reply. Of course he wasnât up for some smalltalk. Never had been. âMeeting you here is very much an accidentâ, he assured him calmly. Careful to not have him explode on him now. Meeting him alone was rare. It wouldnât do to shorten that that event. He could swear he heard him mutter âYouâre an accidentâŠâ, in a sparse moment of childishness while grabbing at something beside him. It was small, red and glistened wetly in the sun from the water it was washed with before.Â
Ah.
âAre those strawberries?â, Antinomy asked dumpfounded, not having expected simple like fruits to be to Placidos tastes. It had always been difficult to get him to eat before. It wasnât that he needed to, but doing things simply for plessure was a very human thing to do. They were build to mimic them after all. âWhere did you even got those?â They did had a small garden as gardening was a necessity to keep the only mostly still human inhabitat alive. But it was news to him that they were planting fruits there. Easily growing vegetables like potatoes, peas and corn, yes. Plants that you could care for while not always having to worry about them dying without much care or by the wildlife. There had been blackberry bushes once before Paradox had ripped them out as soon as they started growing over everything else. âItâs a tasty weed. But a weed nonethelessâ, he claimed. Antinomy was sure he just had been sick of them because of all the birds they brought.
âWe had some seeds in storage. I was allowed to have them so I planted them myself.â Antinomy blinked. Then again. Maybe the sun had warmed his system to the point that he had hallucinated Placido telling him that he was gardening in his free time. âIâm not sure whatâs surprising me more right now. You gardening or you actually answering one of my questions for once.â Placido made a quiet Hmph-sound while holding one of the strawberries up to his mouth. âDonât ask questions you donât expect answers to. Only the stupid do thatâ, he said before biting into the red fruit. The silver-haired one had a green thumb, it seemed, because the fruit was so juicy that itâs fluids were running over soft looking lips. Antinomy watched fascinated as the tip of a pink tongue licked it away before it couldâve run down to his chin. For a moment he had a strange feeling in is stomach. Like he was standing on a tall building and looking down.
He awkwardly cleared his trouth while coming near. âMove over a little bit. Youâre hogging all the shade.â Before Placido could have protested he was already sitting down, moving the other sideways with his hips who hastily grabbed his strawberry filled bowl before it wouldâve fallen to the ground. âDo you always have to come into my personal space like that?! I donât plan to sit in your lap, asshole!â Which was probably better that way because Placidos armor was already digging into his side in a way that couldâve been painful had it been anyone else. He placed the bowl onto his legs and nearly smashed them against his breastplate while leaning over them in an attempt to protect them from Antinomys suddenly very grabby hand who skillfully managed to steal a berry anyway.
âI didnât offer you any! Back off!â
âItâs why I didnât ask. You would never do that.â
It was probably only the absence of Placidos sword that was saving Antinomy from a painful answer to his actions. That and Placido not wanting leave his bowl unprotected shouldâve he used his fists instead. Not now who he knew that there was a blue crow who wanted to steal them. So the next time Antinomy tried to be sneaky he was already expecting it. âIâm going to break your hand should you try that again!â, Placido hissed while holding onto Antinomys hand after he tried to get a second strawberry.
Teasing Placido was way too fun. He also seemed to be in a good mood. He wouldâve long bee gone otherwise. It was difficult to stop now that he came that far. Itâs the reason why he was reaching for Placidos wrist after said distressed android had fiddled the strawberry out of his fingers, before he couldâve placed it back into the bowl. He leaned over and bit into it while Placido was still holding it. Scrabbing slightly against his fingers with his teeth while doing so and marveling at the sweet taste. The hand in his hair wouldâve been nice if it hadnât violently pulled him away. He could swear he felt a few strands rip out. âI hope it tasted good. It has the potential to be your last meal. Should I break your whole body instead?!â, asked Placido with his face near his. Eyes full of dark promises and⊠a slight blush on his cheeks?
âIt was⊠very sweet.â
âWas a strawberry really worth my patience? You are playing a dangerous game here!â
ââŠAh, yes. The strawberry too.â
âHuh?!â
