Amelia: I’ll tag you in my boomerang wine pour next time. I’ve been counting down since I got it on. I was actually hoping for some jello but a hand will do

Amelia: It was a slight hit on Monday nights. You can hold your breath and wait. I get this boot off tomorrow are you gonna be at work?

“Who says it would be because of me? Maybe it would be a coincidence. You don’t know,” she shrugged her shoulders. “So what are you now? The Demi Whisperer?” she joked. “I’m surprised you’re putting so much effort in. No I just want to go to work!”

“Well unfortunately for you I am an expert at reading between the lines.” Or jumping to conclusions, not that she would admit to that one. “Honey, I do have a heart sometimes but I’d be careful. One wrong move and I might just forget to warn them and let the trucks clog up the whole road if you do piss me off.” Vera pretended to threaten.

“I’ll just have to make a deal with every mover possible and make sure they let me know when you’re planning and I’ll have the heads up if it doesn’t come from you.”

“Hm, unless you’re working in a morgue I don’t think working through it sounds like the most terrible idea in the world either. It’s probably no where near as great as spending it at home with the family though.”

“I do work at a hospital and there is a morgue in the basement so close enough?” He chuckled. “I will say that the only good thing about working through it is not having to worry too much about gifts. Missing the food is one of the worst parts though.”

Amelia: you peaked my interest, that is all I’ll concede to. I would never, I’m a good patient I promise

Amelia: that’s a little dramatic, but I feel like I should get some leniency for picking up the bottle you suggested

Robbie: You sure that's not why they turned you down?

Amelia: That's not even slightly or remotely true. Why do you have this idea of me of being so reckless?

Amelia: The dogs weren’t a fan and figured I needed protection from it

“So you would be really upset if a lot of people suddenly started showing up there, right?” she bit back a smile. “I can’t argue with that, any smart person would get on my mom’s good side,” she laughed. “Yeah, maybe read or watch TV or arrange flowers, or at least I would if someone didn’t talk to my mom and get my shifts taken away.”

“If they suddenly start to show up because of you, maybe.” He narrowed his eyes at her. “Exactly. Maybe she didn’t like me as much when we were younger, but now I can fix all that.” Not that he had done anything wrong when they were teenagers. “Do you want me to bring you puzzles? Puzzles are fun!”

“They taste like the wax they come in, how does a company manage to ruin cheese?” She asked before laughing slightly at the face he made. “You better start making plans and seeing which dinner parties you’ll need to RSVP to, the best ones go by fast.” Her shoulder dropped slightly at the question, her own plans still not solidified. “Right now, trying to sneak a Christmas tree into my hotel room, it’ll probably end up looking like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree.”

“And yet they’re popular. I see a couple of people eat them in the break room and I know not to trust them with any type of food, ever.” He laughed. “What makes you think I’m not planning a dinner party of my own? It could be the best Christmas dinner anyone has experienced in this city.” He didn’t have plans to do that, but now the wheels were in motion. “Well since we’re here, why we don’t go to the Christmas section and find you a little tree? Those miniature ones.”

“Oh please, you just want me out of here.” Vera couldn’t help herself but laugh. “Unfortunately, I don’t think anytime soon but I’ll make sure to file a report with whoever traffic control is. So you have time to plan ahead or something.”

“I was trying to put in a nice way.” He shrugged. “Thank you, that’s very considerate of you. I thought you’d just let it happen and let me have a bad day because I can’t get to work on time.”

“Wow, you’re really protective of this burger place. Almost as protective as you are of staying in good standings with my mom,” she chuckled. “Well now I’m just bored all the time. I have nothing to do!”

“I am protective, it’s my little hidden gem. Any smart person would want to be on a good standing with your mom so I gotta do what I gotta do,” he smiled. “I’m sure there are other things you can do that don’t involve putting your leg to work all the time.”

Robbie: Uh huh, so really you'll pay any price because there aren't any other options. Good to know

Derek: I've gotten shorter, their casting me in the next Willy Wonka movie.

Robbie: God, you must be really fucking desperate if you're asking me. Did Bridget already say no?
