Sister Spotlight: Meriweather Bean
Meriweather is a senior Anthropology major, with a focus in cultural anthropology and a minor in business. This summer, she went with Dr. Murchison to Tanzania where she did a homestay and learned about the everyday life of the people there. She says her favorite part of the trip was "...just forming a relationship with my family and getting to be completely immersed in their way of life." After graduation, she hopes to get some work experience, potentially in a non-profit, before heading on to grad school.
In our chapter, Meriweather serves as our Vice President of Membership, so we have her to thank for our awesome Recruitment Workshop last week!! Working as VPM, Meriweather says she has been amazed by her sisters' willingness and enthusiasm in stepping up to help get tasks completed. It has also been a rewarding experience personally, as knowing she has her sisters' confidence every step of the way has allowed her to step out of her comfort zone and do things she may not have been able to do without it. Β
Again, thank you for an amazing workshop last week, Meriweather! It was great to be able to catch up with our sisters, and you did a fantastic job getting us prepared for recruitment!Β Delta Love.
