As an Armand/Daniel shipper this part in the intro got me:

Why did Daniel keep so many of the tapes specifically about Armand out of the book? Especially the story about Armands seduction methods. My guess is that he just wanted to keep them for himself as material for his spank bank.

Alan loved the transitions in his director's cut, and most of those did not make it into the episode

There was a slightly longer Loustat moment in the bus, but it got cut down as well.

You usually hear of someone in the studio doing this to a film when they think the initial cut of a movie is bad and take it away from the director to try and fix it.

And I noted the editing seemed "off" in places, wondering who edited it. Guess I got my answer. 😑

Rolin, I think you are a good writer, but as far as editing goes ... at least when it came to some moments in the dream/hallucination sequence. 😬

I'm not going to say Rolin made a mistake doing this. I can't unless I got a chance to see the original cut of the episode to compare it to what we got. I do wonder what was more "romantic" about the original cut, which I'm sure he means the tone of the episode, not that there were more romantic moments in it or something.

Also, Hannah is talking about the episode in a different way than Rolin is.

I mean, I would argue that Louis HAS seen himself as the victim/wronged (hence the whole punishibg-Lestat-with-Armand-actions for example), but Rolin‘s words are still…. what can I say.
