I’ve decided it’s high time I made a side blog dedicated to RA where I can post headcanons, fanfics and art, au ideas or whatever the hell i want!

I will be pulling some old content from my main blog so if you see that first don’t be alarmed!

I am an adult, at times I may post 18+ content, it will be marked appropriately, read at your own discretion I am not responsible for your internet consumption

Was going to make this as a tik tok and might still later but I’ve been playing A LOT of DnD and wanted to share what classes and subclasses I think the RA characters would be or play 🤭

Ranger’s Apprentice as Dungeons and Dragons Classes

Will- Bard

Are you kidding me? Mr high charisma, Jack of All Trades, literally disguised himself as a bard for a mission? I’d like to see him as a college of whispers with some rogue multiclassing for stealth and combat skill

Horace- Paladin

Oath of Devotion for sure. I could cry thinking about my knight in shining armor Horace, the code of chivalry is no joke to him. He would’ve loved to been able to Divine Smite Morgarath.

Halt- Rogue

None of these rangers are honest to god DnD rangers be so fr. Halt is a Mastermind rogue with a noble background, our devious little king. Low charisma HIGH Wisdom and Intelligence

Gilan- Rogue

Like I said none of the RA rangers are actual DnD rangers, and Gilan would also be a rogue but would subclass as a Scout. I think we got to see how he can really operate in Erak’s Ransom and I would’ve LOVED to see more

Crowley- Druid

Idk I just feel like Crowley would be a circle of land Druid it feels right to me

Ranger’s Apprentice as People you see at Parties/Clubs

Will: The guy encouraging his friend to take more shots

Horace: The guy being encouraged to take more shots who says “I Love You, man” to everyone and yells “IHOP IHOP IHOP” until the DD agrees to take their friends to IHOP

Cassandra: The overly drunk girl who aggressively compliments other girls in the bathroom

Alyss: The girl who quietly sits in the back and observes everything

Jenny: The girl who gets aggressively complimented in the bathroom by the overly drunk girl

George: The guy who didn’t want to go but ends up playing beer pong and going shot for shot with the “I Love You” guy

Gilan: The DD who agrees to take everyone to IHOP at 4 am and makes sure everyone gets back home safely

Lmao imagine Will and Horace are on a mission together and maybe Horace is in all of his armor and uses some kind of step up to get on kicker... now imagine that as he’s got one foot in a stirrup and is about swing his other over Kicker’s back whatever he’s using as a step up flips over making Horace fall on his ass right underneath Kicker who then spook and rears and takes off... and now imagine Will on Tug laughing his ass off because Horace, arguably the best knight in Araluen, is on his ass in the mud, horse out of sight, with the dumbest look on his face

Okay though but imagine after the first war with Morgarath, I'm sure all the girls were LUSTING over Halt.

He was young, he was a new ranger (which by default makes him less scary), he had black hair, dark eyes, and a lean frame, he was like the definition of handsome, he was a literal LEGEND, and he is so fictional men coded! Like there is no way girls were not tripping over Halt left and right, and IMAGINE Pauline's reaction to that.

She was probably going around giving polite, but threatening, looks at every servant or village girl who shot Halt a longing glance. Just shooting them sweet but vicious looks that said "paws off! this is my handsome man, he's MINE, he likes ME, so all you other B!tch3s can go jump off a cliff".

Meanwhile Halt is just mortified at how interested all the girls are, and Crowley's teasing about it does not help.

Alternative: Halt is completely oblivious to it and doesn't realise when they're flirting. Crowley and/or Pauline points it out to him one day and he doesn't believe them at first, but then he realises they're right, and THEN he's mortified

but Dragon Rider Au! Gilan is a shadow wielding daddy and I really like imagining him as commandant of the dragon riders in furs to keep warm on flights and with his stubble grown out a bit because there’s no time to shave everyday (but also he knows it’s sexy af)

In book 4 I think, it’s mentioned that the first year of battleschool training puts a heavy focus on the laws of chivalry and how that’s why Horace is so appalled that Halt would forge a king’s seal.

Can we just appreciate how perfect that is. Horace just barely stopped being a dick to everybody like he was in the ward, at which point I assume he’d feel pretty lost. A personality 180 like his isn’t an easy process. I’m sure he was like “how am I supposed to be a good person now that I’m not outletting my insecurities through bullying?”and coincidentally at the same time Rodney’s like “here’s the 10 step program to not being a dick” and Horace saw that and was like “fuck yea this is actually exactly what I was looking for” and then he never let it go. I love him so much I wish my mind could be as straightforward as his

Call me Halt the way I just adopted a 15 year old

Gonna vent a little about some stuff going on in my personal life so just ignore me if you want…

So about a month ago my cousin died leaving her son with her mom (my aunt)

My aunt was already in really bad health and ever since my cousins death has just completely stopped taking care of herself and is now in the hospital on a ventilator

I’ve had a lot of family members end up the same way so I know there’s no way my aunt is making it, at this point it’s just a matter of time before she passes

Me and my mom have already been taking care of my cousin’s son (who I’ll just be calling M) since my aunt has been in the hospital and we’ve been trying to decide what we’re going to do once my aunt passes

There’s only so many options for M as he’s only 15, is severely autistic, and his bio dad has never had anything to do with him

Essentially either we take custody of him or he goes into foster care

Obviously we don’t want M to be put into the system, and want him to be with family he knows

But I am so god damn over whelmed right now yall have no idea I have a literal CHILD relying on me now after he’s lost everyone else
