I wouldn’t be myself without the impact the Ranger’s Apprentice series has had on me throughout the years, and I know I’m not the only one. These books are the reason I found out reading can be fun, part of the reason I never stopped drawing, started drawing people, reason for my love of SO many things, like archery, nature, the colour green, the sea, and much much more. I even learnt to raise one eyebrow when I was younger, solely because of Halt. About a year ago, I compiled all my experiences and art tied to the series into a now 140-slide presentation/personal archive, which I continue to update. I’m also forever grateful for what this series has done for me emotionally, how it impacted my personality, and for the wonderful community that formed around it.

Long story short, for me, no piece of media comes close. I was heartbroken to learn about John Flanagan’s passing, the sources I’ve seen give the date 7th of February, which, ironically, is my birthday. I’ll carry the world & stories created by Him with me forever, just as I have been doing so far.

I didn’t want to share it before I’m finished, but I feel like this is also the time to say I’m midway into writing my thesis paper on the Ruins of Gorlan. I’ll continue to work on it twice as hard, in hopes to, somehow, make it worthy of the series.

When it comes to Undertale, Asriel is a long-time favourite of mine

All the things I could possibly say about this game have probably already been said a thousand times over and I don’t want to ramble too much here… but I’ll say this:

I am so very grateful for this game. For all the wonderful and emotional experiences it has provided me with over the years. For the story of friendship, determination and kindness. And for being the predecessor to Deltarune, which I consider, as of right now, as my very favourite of the medium
