What looks like a fledgling Father and Son clothing brand (the name kinda gives it away). Looking forward to what comes from them at launch
If there are no 'family restrooms' then there should be changing tables in each of the bathrooms, surely
How can I blog about being a dad without images of me and my munchkin?? I'm always a little reticent to post full images of him but will in due time

I live to see the day my son reached heights I never could
Over-stimulation: the thief of sleep
One of the greatest ambitions of the new parent is the desire to find some sense of normalcy once again. To regain some semblance of the kind of social activity you once had and we were no different. We started going out to eat with the baby, went shopping for groceries and all other kinds of things non-parents do without a second thought.
All facts!! šš
Know the shoulder fold!
6 weeks into this gig, I get hit with my first diaper overflow. Now i donāt know if it has to do with the brand I chose or the way i fastened it but this guy was armpit deep in his own poop!Ā
Itāll change your life...
Iāve been a practising dad for over two weeks now. Seeing as what I know about fatherhood spans the length of the average blog post, I thought it fitting to document it all.
One: This is the most challenging gig of my entire lifeĀ
Iāve never found myself tasked with a job that I didnāt have at least some confidence in my ability to pull through. My first week was 80% doubt, 15% Google and 5% sheer panic

On the issue ofĀ ālegacyā
Being less than two weeks away from meeting my newborn means my fantasies of parenthood start to take on a deeper level of introspection. I donātĀ āsportsā much so I tend to think of the family recipes I want to share with him, more than wearing matching soccer gear but lately, Iāve begun to delve more into the idea of the kind of impression Iāll make on his life. A lot of us can speak to the reality of having years of relationship-building with our fathers fizzle to nothingness over a key incident or series of incidents in our lives.Ā
Haaahahahahaa! Maaan, the number of things Iāve had to Google (most of them under the hood of a car)! But I look forward to learning a few things along with my son, instead of hammering home the fact that Iāve long forgotten things he still has to learn.

CNN.COM/ Dispelling the myths about black fathers By Aaron Paxton Arnold
āIn America, the perception is that the black father doesnāt exist. Negative stereotypes of black men persist, and people on the right blame the victim in cases like those of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner and Michael Brown.
But if we look at the ground level, black fathers are there all around us. On the streets and in hip-hop culture, āthe Blockā is celebrated and used to describe a neighborhood. Black men, young and old, take pride in their hood. If you come to my block you will see black fathers and husbands celebrating with their wives and spending quality time with their childrenā¦ā
