Welcome to my blog. I post my science fiction concepts and drawings, which all exist inside my universe-building project: the universe of the Milky Federation.
If you want to see my SF concepts use #milkyfederation. My main OCs in this universe are the #spacefreelancers.

Bobole shown in natural patterns, with a kula and a sloman silhouette for reference.
The second most widespread domesticated predator the slomen have would be the rounder than round big-maw.
They come from temperate climates, where they roam the forests, eating animals of many sizes (usually based on pack size). Most often, they are seen in pairs (commonly of siblings), but this rule isn't unbreakable. Sometimes, packs reach over 6 members that stay together for a long period of time before they eventually separate into smaller groups. This adaptability might be why their domestication came quite naturally. From the bobole's point of view, slomen might have been great hunting buddies.
Bobole are intelligent hunters that rely on visualizing the path of their prey more than on communication between members. This makes them both adaptable and stubborn when working in bigger groups or with slomen. The usual strategy is for one individual to stay low, watching the target, while others chase it in the other's direction. The unmoving bobola waits for the moment the target is close enough to strike it. In case it fails, the one chasing will still be available on the other side to mayhaps save the hunt.
With smaller prey, they can be useful chasing the target for slomen too. But with their stubborn attitude toward their technique, it's more common for them to help keep the watch on prey and track it.
In an active hunt, the slomen direct the bigger prey to the usually-larger-breed bobola to deal the first hit, keeping the animal in grasp for a person to kill it with a weapon.
Some breeds are very territorial. For this, you will rarely see them in Ciwa, where you could consider them outlawed. Not because they could hurt a person, but because a kula could be at risk. The sacred feral population must live on.
Unlike a dog, bobolas are not as flexible to train. Little funny tricks are meant for a kula. These orbs are loyal and follow direction, but they take a lot of time to do their natural behaviors in ways most useful for people.
The easiest is for them to protect family members from threats, which is why many cultures have at least one devoted to the household kids and follow them on their mischievous journeys even when they sneak around the adults. Of course, one must establish what a threat is early on. Nobody wants an anxious bobola who bites their aunt.
In some regions, if you were to visit a village, chances are you would see them sitting by every third settlement, either sleeping or watching you. Sellers might even take them to the markets to keep thieves away.
Now, you might find these orbicular animals somewhat similar to the put-tut, but they are hardly related. Bobola are actually genetically closer to the 'slomland' bird than to slomen themselves. Just like with the raptorial shape before the mammal overtaking on earth, the upright biped is popular with convergent evolution. However, since vertebrates of the continent don't have true tails to balance them horizontally, most bipedal animals here keep their head high.
This creature has been pretty much designed for a looong time now, but I never got to actually rendering it.
Trying to give myself some more challenging animations to tackle SO a continuous walk cycle with some character acting. The music is there mainly to have something to time the pace of the walk and the acting to (and I think it just makes it feel more engaging than silence).
Was working on this back in January and thought I'd get back to it sooner than later but it's sat on my computer as roughs this whole time lmao. I DO want to get back to this and clean/color/comp it, there are just some technical things I gotta figure out with marrying the 2D and 3D that I haven't had a minute to investigate yet.

Garrulians are known for their dull senses and their unique way of socializing and conflict resolution (headbashing).
Humans see them as terrifyingly competitive, slow-witted brutes.
This garrulian has gotten into a prestigious university via sports recruitment. They won't let the opportunity go to waste, though. The finals are coming and they're studying hard to become a criminologist, even if they're not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Sketches of garrulians socializing and their mannerisms!
1st. "-AND I'M TELLING YOU THE MOVIE IS BETTER THAN THE BOOK!". A friendly bar debate between acquaintances.
Every little argument, debate or discussion involving a garrulian can and will end up with headbashing (it's only considered violent if they claw at each other).
2nd. Two workout buddies; a garrulian trainer and a chronically ill human.
Headbutting a member of a "weaker" species, like humans, is an immense sign of respect. It means they consider that person their equal, for better or worse (they have to learn how much force the other's skull can take).
3rd. The Flesh Tenderizer, a space colosseum gladiator with a "barbarian" theme. They like acting and this' been their big break.
Garrulians are quadrupeds, using their little chest arms to manipulate objects. They can use their front legs clumsily as hands. Standing up and showing their claws is their way of intimidating a foe. Or more likely, to gain height for better headsmashing.
Despite being the captain and primary pilot of the Little Bird, Diaf is very new to space travel.
Diaf is an experienced captain, having been the lead bird with command over three separate colonies. She is an excellent pilot, having more experience flying than a Corldaxian could ever hope to gain. But she has little renown on Umblan, and little time spent in the Enithian galaxy.
Diaf’s inclusion in the Northern Umblan Empire’s research initiative is recent, even compared to other captains in the Empire. The decision to select her as captain of the Little Bird was… interesting, given that Diaf told her commander that she would prefer to stay with her colonies.
Nevertheless, duty calls, and it’s made up for by Diaf getting to select all these interesting people for this project.
Physician, pharmacist, and healer, Ankiusk is the long-term care specialist of the Little Bird.
Ankiusk grew up in the Western Skyline region of Umblan. It studied extensively with the healer of the colony, and quickly grew into one of the foremost experts on Umblan medicines. Ankiusk spent most of its time traveling from one colony to another, providing care and distributing supplies.
When the Northern Empire established contact with the Enithian galaxy, the Western Skyline region bargained to be included in a long-term research plan. Ankiusk volunteered to participate, and traveled to Enith to study as a xenophysician.
After a few years the project was finalized, and Ankiusk found itself selected to work on the Little Bird. It was sent to Bitriem for further study, where it got to meet its crewmate and fellow medic, Hán Huì Qún. Thankfully, they get along well.
Oooh these are good. Taking notes... I do the "want me to call it one" :)
My favourite bit:
When I need something at the table: "hey can you pass me the salt" (goes for the salt) "no, the other one" (watch how they look for the other nonexistent salt shaker while I grin like a bastard).

The Milky Federation is supposed to be this enormous organ full of different intelligent species, which is great for me because I love designing aliens. I'm personally not a fan of alien designs which are just human but X. I always try to make original designs and body plans, but the humanoid anatomy is too good to not imitate it.
Here's a recent alien design dump I made to relearn how to draw after graduating uni.
Panerolians, very diverse bug-like small aliens. The centauroid dino-like Garrulians. And the obligatory tall and hairy bigfoot-like species: Mussossians. They're all intelligent and part of the MF.
Garrulians are known for their dull senses and their unique way of socializing and conflict resolution (headbashing).
Humans see them as terrifyingly competitive, slow-witted brutes.

hanging out in the bathtub (we don't know how they both fit in there), out in public waiting for the bus stop probably, phori suffering the consequences of making him loose count of his pushups

Allow me to introduce y’all to my speculative bio project I’ve been cooking for some years. These are Pollivens, a sentient, semi-aquatic alien species.
