A once in a lifetime moment. The moment when MC found out that her love wasnโt one-sided. Working under Victor, the CEO of LFG, was in all honesty both a blessing and a curse. Under Victor Liโs supervision MC had grown as a business woman. She became more assertive and bloomed under Mr. Liโs expertise. Unfortunately for MC she fell for him. Of course right? The one forbidden relationship. Even if Victor did reciprocate Mcโs feelings, then it would be looked down upon. Others might think that she seduced Lovelandโs most attractive bachelor. That she seduced her boss to further her career. This was the last thing she wanted. Her family hadnโt worked all their lives for this to be the end of the company.ย
Although, of course MC ended up stupidly confessing to him, while drunk cause letโs admit it, how else could she have gathered the courage (and stupidity) to do so.
What occurred afterwards could only be described as pure bliss. Maybe except for one minor detail.ย
But it truly was one minor detail that in MCโs opinion used too much of her brain storage than actuallyย needed. It was just that she wanted to cuddle, to embrace and to just generally be more affectionate with Victor. But it wasnโt like physical affection wasnโt exchanged between the two. But more like MC was too shy to initiate anything, afraid that Victor would reject her advances. Although even she knew that it sounded ridiculous, but still the anxiety remained.ย
The times whenever Victor initiated anything came few and far in between. Victor did seem to enjoy being in a relationship judging the abundant of smiles that were directed towards MC. What before was a stoneface without any mercy, now became much more varied canvas. From a happy Victor to sad-drunk Victor MC was blessed with an assortment of facial expressions from him. But physical affection didnโt come in abundance.ย
Victor and MC walked side by side and in the midst of the busy city, walked into the all familiar side street where Souvenir was located. When alone MC noticed Victorโs presence a lot more. When alone there were no distractions to calm her fleeting heart. She felt compelled to reach out to him, to bask in the physical affection she craved. Not in a sexual way, but rather as a way to feel grounded. A way to feel secure in an unkind world. While MC didnโt have a ton of dating experience, all the people she had been with were emotionally and physically distant. In her previous relationships none of her partners were huge fans of PDA and eventually MC just simply stopped asking for it. Even though she desperately wanted it. With no loving figures present in her world anymore she learnt to deny her wants. She had friends sure, but even they didnโt carry the warmth she was searching for.ย
And now, she was in a relationship with Victor. But she didnโt know of it was right to be greedy in terms of affection? What if Victor just absolutely hated physical affection and would then come to hate her as well? What if Victor didnโt like needy partners? What of Victor just didnโt like being in close proximity to her?
Sure, MC knew that this was kind of a reach. But Victor really was unpredictable. Stupid Victor and his big back that she longed to embrace. Stupid Victor and his inviting hand that she just wanted to hold. And stupid Victor and his unreadable face that she wanted to adore in kisses. But these were just wants and wistful longings. Why was she so needy? Being lost in her thoughts, Victor noticed absent eyes in MC. Was she perhaps sick since normally she would chatter and talk like no tomorrow. Perhaps she was feeling unwell?
โMC, if you arenโt feeling well then we should go home,โ
โOh-โ MC was pulled out of her thoughts and quickly shot a smile at her significant other. She was trying not to let her previous thoughts affect her.ย
โIโm fine Victor, just have some things on my mind,โ Victor clearly still concerned with MC didnโt completely buy her response.
โYou could tell me if you want to MC?โ
She strongly considered telling him but she wondered if she would just come off as childish and immature. But honesty was vital in a relationship and MC knew that.
โUhm, to be honest Iโm a bit embarrassed to say it but Iโll tell you Victor,โ MC smiled sheepishly and felt her ears turning red.
โMhmm,โ Victor smiled seeing MC as her usual self again, all blushy and adorable..
โItโs just that AA, I would like to hug more and shit!โ MC then immediately turned around, way too embarrassed to see Victorโs reaction. He probably thought she was one big weirdo or something.
A second later she was engulfed in his arms. Her head placed right above Victorโs beating heart whose beats matched hers.
โItโs fine dummy, you can hold my hand or ask for hugs whenever you want to,โ Victor said this with a tone that made MCโs cheeks heat up. How could Victor be so unfaced and her, a complete tomato. MC was grateful for that Victor wasnโt able to see her face and just let the stupidest smile come though. Still buried in his chest, she tightened her hold around him and listened to his heart beat, it matched hers perfectly.ย
โMhmm,โ She welcomed Victorโs clean scent.
โThanks Victor,โ She mumbled into his chest. Not wanting to let go. To reassure her affections were reciprocated. And Victor almost beat himself up for not noticing MCโs crave for affection earlier. Maybe for once he was the dummyโฆย
