Sweet Like Chocolate

It was…sorta weird to talk to other people, Bee decided as she took a bite of her cake. She was usually fairly quiet around people she just met, but it was probably something about the day that made this different; it was nice outside, or it could be the fact that Liet was sitting with her Pokemon, or maybe even that the other girl had a headband with Chinchou antennae on it. She was sort of tempted to ask about that, but decided that it didn’t really matter all that much, plus it was pretty cute.

The mentioning of her Greninja perked her up though. “I’ve had Slick for about…Half a year now? It was around then that I started my Kalos journey.” She said as she grabbed the ball from her belt and let the frog out. Slick just gave the two a derpy wave before his eyes fell on the other Greninja. He immediately became interested and kind of rudely leaned on their table to get a look at him before Lottie had Flyboy pull him away. “Sorry about him. He has bad manners…” She said with a sigh.

It was weird for Lottie to be talking to someone else as well. Especially as calmly as this. Usually she was rather shaky…But Bee seemed like a nice person and it helped her relax. .

“Six years is a long time to be travelling though.” She said, mildy surprised that someone had been travelling for almost as long as she had. A lot of people she met hadn’t been travelling for that long. “I’ve been travelling for about nine and a half years now…I’m actually from Hoenn and started my first journey there…Then I went to Sinnoh, and then Unova, and now here.” She mused. “I’ve also got a lot of Pokemon, though most of them are back in their respective regions or back at my place helping out my folks.” She listened to Bee list off her Pokemon and couldn’t help but smile. They all sounded great. “I’ve got Flyboy, Slips, and Slick here. And then my Aegislash Claus, my Hawlucha Rawk Hawk, and my shiny Diggersby Burton.”

Like a lot of battles, she had been no issue for him. Hugh was and always had been a strong trainer, right from the very start, and with his Samurott at his side, he felt like he could do anything.

Though the sight of a Flygon did catch his eye. It sat with a girl on the pier, overlooking the ocean. He had his own Flygon, who rested peacefully in his Poké Ball. It piqued his curiosity, but he didn’t want to get his hopes up.

“Excuse me, would you  happen to be a trainer? I’ve been looking for someone to battle~” She didn’t really care if she won or lost to this person if they battled. If she won then hey, good for her she should probably train some more. If she lost then that meant she needed to train more as well. Either way it would be a good experience for her and her Pokemon. Especially Draken since the Hydreigon was newly evolved…

She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Lynette juggling names. “A hero or great explorer of the seas? Well I explored the seas a lot back in my home region if that counts.” She joked.  Ah Hoenn, the region of oceans. Lots of Tentacool and Wingull too. But it was home and she loved it there. “Haha it’s nice to meet you Lynette.” She wondered what the whole Goo Drop thing meant but maybe she’d find out eventually. As she shook her hand she looked over at her other Pokemon. “Oh and this is Flyboy the Flygon, Slips the Servine, and Burton the Diggersby~” In which all three Pokemon chimed out a greeting in one way or another.
