“I can’t say I’ll ever be serenading your sister, I don’t fancy making the king think I’m trying to compete for his lady of the court’s heart,” Kitty informed him matter-of-factly, not finding his advice to be particularly useful to her at all. “If I ever did have any reason to cheer her up, I’d be much more likely to send Mike and Sully to surprise her with laughs.” She nodded her head at his suggestions, making a mental note to listen to music from Into the Woods later. She’d seen the movie in theaters a while back, but had found it dreadfully boring and had promptly forgotten all of the songs. If she was going to fit in with the theater crowd now, though, that was going to need to change. “Really? I heard all your music on the isle was played by people banging on trash can lids, is that true? That makes me want to do more aerial moves just thinking about it, not something as static as a split,” Kitty confessed.

“Well, it was a great performance, I love Cher,” Dizzy said honestly, smiling at Mikey. “But,” She couldn’t help herself she was just so curious. “Does Mal really like Cher? I always thought her music taste would be slightly on the darker side. Like Joan Jett or something.”

“I’m glad you love Cher, Dizzy.” Mikey grinned, impishly, “Mal actually loves Cher. She has a poster hanging up in her dorm.” Nodding, he shook his head, “I know, it seems wild, but... girl’s got a fun, bouncing, loving side.”

“Cher is old,” was the first thing Kitty had to say to Mikey once he was off of the stage and in her space-bubble. She flipped her hair over her shoulder; his performance skills were excellent, but his performance choice was severely lacking. “I’d find a much more youthful and fun performer to emulate if it were my turn.” Kitty pursed her lips together, afraid to say much more and admit that she was jealous of how effortless he’d made it all look, though. A summer of training and she still felt that she wasn’t so fluid with putting the pieces of acting, dancing, and singing all together at once. “Your split was very impressive at the end, though. Where did you learn to do that? Can all theater kids do that, or is it something that makes you – and soon to be me – unique?”

“Very true. But, she is a legend.” He smirked, “And it was for Mal, because everyone should know her favorite artist. I was really doing a service to the public if you think about it.” Mikey bowed, “Thank you, thank you. I really want to do a Kiwi by Harry Styles, but I don’t think it’s this crowd’s jam. Or Giants in the Sky from Into the Woods.” Grabbing a bottle of water, Mikey downed it before laughing, “Oh, the split? I taught myself how to dance on the Isle, and one thing that is easier said than done is doing splits, so I worked on getting flexible. I can also kick my head. Not all theatre kids can do that, but they should learn.”

Elijah couldn’t help but laugh at the performance on stage. It looked like it was meant to be bad on purpose, so he didn’t feel terrible about being honest with Mikey when he came down for a drink. “I’m half-tempted to ask you to do one for my sister. Think you can make it even more embarrassing?” He asked, waggling his eyebrows as if it was a real challenged – he knew embarrassing Riley was probably the easiest thing in the world though. 

Mikey grabbed Elijah’s hand, “Well, then you have to do it with me.” He wagged a finger at him, “It’d only be embarrassing if you did it too. From me, it’d just be weird. What would embarrass Riley the most?” He tapped his foot, smiling. “I personally think the that hit song that’s dirty, y’know-- promiscuous boy, wherever you are-- that one would embarrass her. She seems very... innocent.”

Sly chuckled at his friend. “If I did that to my sister, even my brother for that matter, it would get me killed.” He said, sipping on a glass of water. “I’d protect yourself. Mal might try to castrate you while you sleep.” He added as he set the glass down. “And that would be an absolute travesty, to be honest.” He finished with a wink. Sly had always been quite flirty with Mikey since joining LGBT club. 

Mikey smiled, “It’d be worth it, really. I don’t know if Mal has it in her to castrate me or kill me-- she’s such a goody-goody lay low now.” He shrugged, “It’s what little brothers do best: annoy their siblings. I’m sure you understand getting annoyed.”

She was still feeling embarrassed about the trouble she had caused for Ben at the last event, the only thing Mal wanted to do during this one was be a quiet spectator. A fly on the wall, bringing no attention to her or Ben if she could help it. But there was one thing she hadn’t counted on – Mikey. Of course he’d do something to be a thorn in her side. Being annoying was what he was best at. Mal’s face dropped when her brother took the stage, turning to a scowl when he spoke about Cher. She was going to kill him the second he was off stage, she swore it. When his song ended she made a beeline for him, arms crossed as she glared at him. “You realize that you’re not funny, right?”

Mikey grabbed a shot from a tray, took it back, and stuck his tongue out. A laugh escaped from him, “I think it was funny! Please, no one is going to dedicate a Cher song to you again-- or... will they?” He shrugged, “You know, if I could get everyone singing a Cher song to you, I would. I know how happy it would make you." The younger boy rolled his eyes, “C’mon, lighten up Mal.  It was just a stupid song. You want me to sing a different one for you?” The boy’s cheeky smile was practically beaming, “I definitely could.”

You know you got it bad when you seriously consider asking your parents to buy a separate freezer so you can store your ice cream for later. On the one hand, I’m being creative and preparing for my future as well as the competition. On the other hand, it’s ice cream and it really shouldn’t be that serious but what can you do when you have time on your hands. If this was an ice skating competition or fencing, then I’d be killing it but it’s not so I provide snacks instead!

STORM: COME TO THE DARK SIDE, WE HAVE COOKIES 🍪🍪

STORM: HA! I WIN!

STORM: To pears??? How lame~ :P

STORM: Just kidding, STAY AWAY FROM THE FRUITS

STORM: Gimme a hint!

MIKEY: I am allergic???

STORM: Where are you?

STORM: Why are you not entertaining me?

STORM: Fix this ASAP no rocky.

MIKEY: I am staying away from the pears.

Dizzy: You've hooked up with the wrong side of a pair of twins?

Dizzy: Uh, yes, but what's on the playlist? That's the most important part of any dance party.

Mikey: I once called a dude by someone else who I use to fuck. While we were fucking.

Mikey: it was a mutual friend.

Mikey: Similar party foul, but think of it this way! When your a mom/cool wine aunt and tell this story after your fifth glass of pinot grigio, it won't seem so bad!

Dizzy: Okay, so for anyone who would like to judge my life choices, I did not knowingly double dip with my cousin's fuck buddy.

Dizzy: I THOUGHT I was sleeping with his identical brother who I had the bad judgment to think maybe liked me.

Dizzy: THEY HAVE THE SAME NAME AND THE SAME FACE LITERALLY ANYONE COULD MAKE THIS MISTAKE!

Dizzy: So if people could please not talk about it, I would really appreciate it. I don't need that constant reminder that I literally gave my vcard to a flaming pile of garbage.

Mikey: Hey, it happens to the best of us.

Can’t confirm or deny this, but I’m not saying it isn’t true. But really, put me in between a @jungleboyblake and @willofnottingham sandwich, any day.

Well, if Ben doesn’t wake up then you can take his place as my “backup” husband because someone needs to cherish all of that.
