When they were playing that montage of people remembering who they'd lost to Vecna, I thought for a second that they might actually have Lucas think of Patrick, but of course he didn't. Patrick wasn't even considered important enough to list alongside Chrissy, Fred, and Max as Vecna's victims in V1.

There’s probably a term that already exists for this but if there isn’t I’m gonna call it ‘Rambofication’ in honor of its probably most well known instance: Rambo First Blood was about a soldier, John Rambo (that’s his actual name I’m not doing a bit), returning home from the Vietnam war, so traumatized by war that he brought the war home with him to a small town, unable to adapt to life without strict military discipline and hierarchy. Subsequent Rambo movies were about how John Rambo was the only supersoldier tough enough and patriotic enough to kill faceless hordes of dastardly foreign commies.

“That was a different memory creeping in” So you admit NINA is not strictly reliving memories from tapes? You admit that other memories or “memories” can alter what El is seeing? You admit that her feelings and other memories, even ones from outside HNL, can affect her perception of the events on tape? And this just all of a sudden doesn’t apply to One’s monologue? Even after ST5’s “we are 001”, which basically cements in that versions of Henry in the lab and in NINA are being affected by the Mindflayer? Because flayed!Henry is One? And the monologue script exclusively refers to Henry as One despite us knowing his identity by that point? And that begins after Soteria is removed? Something that semi-explicitly represses the Mindflayer?
