in ways no child should ever have to.

That ain’t strength,

that’s trauma on replay.

This ain’t shade.

I respect the hustle,

I respect the grind,

I respect the ones built for that kind of light.

But me?

I’m wired different.

I want my queen’s crown untouched by the world’s opinions.

I want her glow to be ours alone,

not somethin’ sold,

but somethin’ sacred,

somethin’ safe.

We can make our art —

our wild, freaky, passionate kind of love —

but that’s our gallery.
