I think way too often about the fact, that alpha trolls also started their session at 6 sweeps old. And for the longest time I wanted to imagine how they would look at the start and draw them.

Call me stupid but you were never supposed to think Tavros was lame because Vriska said so or because Hussie said so, because neither of them are reliable narrators.

Vriska and Tavros are opposites. Boy girl, blue orange, taurus scorpio and I could go on. If Vriska is written to be a Mary Sue then Tavros has to be whatever the opposite of a Mary Sue is. If everything goes well for Vriska even when she doesn't deserve it, everything has to go wrong for Tavros even when he doesn't deserve it.

The Light aspect represents narrative relevance in the plot, and in Vriska's case SPECIFICALLY it also represents luck because she's got the author of their story wrapped around her finger, so things will magically fix themselves when she needs them to. Like when the story rewrites itself to undo her death.

Breath is freedom from the narrative, something Tavros does not have in the beginning as the author's punching bag. Up until when, as a ghost, he flips the double bird to Vriska and leaves, and when he comes back he's done something useful, something no one else managed to do. Off screen. The one place where Hussie can't reach him and ruin it for him.

Out of all the characters to get prototyped together, they're the only ones who can't coexist as Tavrisprite. Just as Hussie's double-edged bias can't coexist in a single character at the same time.

Hussie hating Tavros is a joke.

Tavros is actually right most of the time, but Hussie won't let him win because he HAS to hate him. Like just to give you one example. Do you think people realize they weren't supposed to think he was dumb for refusing to play a game rigged against him? Or were they filtered by the fact that every scene Tavros is involved in is written to portray him in the most unflattering way?

And Hussie was so effective in sticking to the bit that even though Tavros has more screentime and relevance than each of the Derse trolls (plus Kanaya arguably) -which is something I'm sure any writer would do with a character they sincerely hate- I have to sit here and watch the joke fly over people's heads, because umm he dies immediately and does nothing! ☝️🤓

Oh and I almost forgot that he's a bull. Like, bulls. The animals that get slaughtered for fun. Yeah the ones that are villainized both in stories and irl for no reason other than trying to defend themselves as prey.

I lied. I was drawing yuri instead of writing. wwhatevver, go my super duper toxic yuri ( I dont actually ship them but I wished more people explored their dynamic. I wish more people explored the ancestors dynamics and how it affects/ ties in with their counterparts sigh )

Like come on, the handmaiden was probably a big reason why Her imperious condescension rose to power- considering Lord English shenagians. Like lowkey, the handmaiden might be one the reasons why highbloods started to 'cull' lowbloods to keep their numbers down. Considering how powerful the handmaiden is- she probably became a symbol for 'unruly' and heretical lowbloods at some points of time. Like am not saying people actually feared the demoness, or thought she was real but its kinda like how JAWS made people fear sharks- and well you already know how the shark population decreased cause of that.
