It was late November. I looked out and thought that this sunrise was the fanfare announcing the end of fall and the beginning of winter. Close enough anyway.

This is, as they say in the art world, a suite. The subject is the shop “The Book Trader” on 34th Ave. in South Minneapolis on our east side. A wonderful reminder of our vanishing funkiness.

And now, a parade to the glazed paradise. Love this garden and nice folks, too!

Sometimes my children, behind the veil of illusion there are, umm, just more veils. Crap.

Got it saturated this week; indoor and outdoor. Whew.

“There are fairies at the bottom of your garden...” Yeah, they’re mean, they’re nasty and they bite when they’re underfoot. But they do such a nice job with the perennials.

It seems to be about toys today. Mostly outside, but still, toys.

I don’t show many people in my pix, but the work of humanity is all around in them like fingerprints. I’m looking for interesting light,color, shadow and pattern in the world that we collaborate on with nature and randomness. It’s good to find sources of light and trace their effects in the general darkness, like betting on the underdog. Is that a squirrel?
