“Hey- no. Those are my fries Pop made for me not you. Get out of them.”

“Aw, can't you share a little? With a friend? I swear, I just want this one.”

“So did you happen to come in to actually order some food or just admire our new decorative wall menu?” she asked with a slight chuckle escaping her and a joking tone in her voice.

“I did, actually. But I must admit, your new decorations are really pretty.” Midge replied, taking her attention off the wall to look at the other girl.

“I don’t know how people can’t love them. Like Aaron, our little black lab… he’s so full of energy and life and yet no one ever wants to even look at him. Why? Cause he’s a black dog. People have this idea that black cats and dogs are bad luck and they just… it’s not true and the animals hurt because of it.”

“People are just so superstitious. I don’t believe in those, and I personally think black cats and dogs are the prettiest. Well, is Aaron is still here when I get to move out and live at my own place, I’ll come and get him. That would just be one more good deed for me.”

“Oh that seems rough, I don’t know what I’d do without Carmel.” 

“I guess I just never saw it that way since I never had a pet. Suppose that’s just normal to me.”

“Moose is fine, Midge. If you’re going too think the worst the worst will happen.”

“I guess you’re right, Juggy. I guess I’m scared, that’s all. We still don’t know who did it, it could be anyone.”

“Careful, he bites. He doesn’t bud well with strangers.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. Animals love me, usually.”

“That definitely seems like a keeper. Why not? I’m sure they’d fall for a face like that.”

“I’m not saying they wouldn’t find him cute. We just wouldn’t be able to keep it because of my dad’s allergies.”

“I sure hope he is, birds they need to fly in order to survive and I would hate for this little guy to not be able to.”

“I know what you mean. I can’t even imagine how heartless someone would be to do something like this to a hurting bird.”

  “yeah you can have him, all he does is chew up my underwear and poop in my sock draw.”

“If I could, I would definitely take him. But I don’t think my dad would be really pleased with that.”

“This makes me very happy, that’s fine. you can always sleepover whenever you like cutie.”

“This is so nice of you! I swear, I’ll try not to abuse that kindness, and will find a way to repay you for that.”

I don’t really know Devin that much. But I do know he has a badass cute dog so I suppose he’s pretty cool.

Jughead is… well you know, he’s him. Doesn’t mean I love him any less. He’s an amazing friend, and I can’t even imagine how this place would be without him around.
