Synopsis: Zoey gets sick and Jack comes to Miami to take care of her.
Everything hurt and she was dying.
OkâŚthat may be a little dramatic but Zoey couldnât remember what it felt like to not wake up with a skull crushing headache and a smokerâs cough soâŚthings werenât looking great. But the real icing on the cake was telling Jack that she couldnât make it to Louisville this week because of her untimely illness. The universe gave her the most stable relationship of her entire life and took away her ability to breathe through her nose. He giveth and He taketh away. Life is all about balance.
This was so cute đĽ°đĽ°
Living life for the both of us
Warnings: Death.
Jack woke up and looked at the empty side next to him in bed, the side that usually belonged to her. Her aura made everything warm and bright, but now he was in the cold dark room by himself. It was usually like this for him. He woke up, mostly because of a nightmare. but sometimes, when he was really lucky, she would appear in his dream and the moment he woke up he wanted nothing more than to fall back asleep, just to get one more glimpse of her.
He threw the covers away from him, and sat up in bed, rubbing his eyes. He got up and shuffled to the bathroom.
Lucy was lying in her dog bed next to the foot of his bed, She looked at him before lying her head back down, deciding she wanted to sleep a little longer.
He stared into the mirror, the dark circles under his eyes were becoming a familiar sight to see. He sighed before hopping into the shower and turning on the cold water. He let out a hiss as the water hit his body,At least this hit him with another feeling other than the one he was used to - emptiness.
After the shower, he quickly got dressed. Just picking up the first sweater he found and a pair of shorts before walking to the kitchen.
He started the water kettle and opened the cabinet where the tea was. He pulled out the usual teabag and made his tea before walking into his home office.
Walking past multiple frames, filled with beautiful memories. He could still hear the laughter and feel all the love, but the reality was there was only silence. Everything was gone the moment she was gone.
Jack pulled out his journal. The pen that usually laid on top of it was nowhere to be found. He let out a deep sigh, before rummaging through the desk, trying to find the pen.
He leaned back in his chair and brought his hands up to his head, he was now finding the simplest of tasks hard to complete. He took a few seconds to breathe before walking to the other desk where he had more pens. He sat back down, pen in his hand opened a fresh new page, and began to write yet another letter.
âWhen will I get used to not waking up to you? Will I ever get used to it? How do I get used to a thing I never wanted to get used to in the first place? Iâm afraid of forgetting how your voice sounds. Iâm afraid of forgetting the little noise you made when something frustrated you. Iâm afraid of forgetting the giggles you made whenever you said something funny.â
Jack took a deep breath as he wiped away his tears. Tears that seemed to never stop. He continued writing.
âIâm just so afraid of forgetting all the little things that made you the women I fell in love with. I donât want to forget you, I donât want to live this life without you. But I have to keep going, I have to be strong, and I have to live this life, now not only for myself but for you as well. I always find myself thinking about how our life would look like if youâd still be alive. Would we still have the same routines? Or would we have changed them? Maybe we would have started a family? I know how much you looked forward to that, hell even I looked forward to that. Maybe we would have gotten another dog? I know I told you I didnât even want one, but for you? Oh for you, I would have filled our whole house with whatever dogs you wanted. Lucy is doing good. She misses you. She often comes up to lay on your side of the bed and Iâm going to be honest with you, I secretly love it - it makes me feel less alone. And sheâs one piece of you that I still have left, so thank you, thank you for begging me at the adoption center to get her.â
Jack got distracted by the phone ringing next to him. He only shot it a glance before typing out the last words of this letter.
I love you always.
He closed the notebook and put the pen on top of it. He brought the end of his shirt up to his face and dried the tears away, letting out a deep sigh in the process. He took a deep breath before calling back.
âHi sonâ Maggieâs voice could be heard from the other end of the call
âHi momâ Jack said, leaning back against the chair. Running his hand through his hair
âYou should come by today, Iâm making lasagnaâ she softly said. She knew Jack wasnât okay and she was trying to be there for him the best way she could.
âI donât know momâ Jack started to say, but Maggie quickly spoke âPlease, we miss you. You shouldnât be by yourselfâ
âIâll come for a little whileâ he sighed, knowing she wasnât going to stop begging him to come. And he didnât have the energy to argue at the moment.
They said their goodbyes and Jack put his phone down, before getting up to get changed. It took every ounce of energy to get out of the house these days, but he knew he had to. He put on his jacket and walked out of the house. He couldnât keep living like this. He had to live on, for him and for her. He was now determined to live a life she would be proud of.

âWe can save water if we take a shower together babeâ
You and Jack were lying in bed and had been for a while now. Just cuddling and kissing each other.
"I need to take a shower" you groaned and threw the covers off of your body.
"So you're just gonna leave me?" he pouted
"I'll be quick" you giggled and walked away to the bathroom.
You took off your pajamas and turned on the water before stepping in. You groaned as the water hit your body and relaxed. After a few seconds, you heard Jack walk into the bathroom, and shortly after he joined you in the shower.
"What are you doing" you giggled as his hands came around your waist.
âWe can save water if we take a shower together babe,â Jack said, kissing your shoulder.
"Oh okay, so you're doing this for the environment, got it" You turned around in his arms and stood on your tippy toes to kiss him.
"We should think about our planet more," he said with a grin
"mm, love when you talk like that" you giggled before kissing him passionately
Love this!!â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
One sentence for Jack âI donât care how late you are. By law, youâre required to give me kisses before you leave. I donât make the rulesâ
âCome in!â You announced, listening to the sound of your office door swing open and then close.
Loudly.
You popped your head up from your monitor, laying eyes on your fiancĂŠ.
âJack, if we donât slam doors in the house, what the hell makes you think itâs okay to slam my office door? And why are you at my job?!â
âBecause you didnât give a kiss before you left.â
You stared at him blankly, silence filling the room.
Before you cut it.
âYou barged into my office because I didnât give you morning kisses? Jack, I was going to be late!â
âI donât care how late you are. By law, youâre required to give me kisses before you leave. I donât make the rules.â He spoke, striding over to your desk before making himself comfy in one of your chairs.
That was, after he gave you your favorite drink from your local coffee shop, along side a few of their pastries.
âI thought you might need a pick-me-up, I know how hard youâve been working on this project. I can see the stress.â
âItâs that bad Jack?â You spoke softly, head in hands.
âYes baby, that bad. You look worse than I do when I canât finish a song.â
You knew you were in trouble then.
âIâm so sorry baby. I havenât been neglecting you, have I?â You stood up from behind your desk, moving to sit in your fiancĂŠâs lap.
âA little bit. But itâs okay, because Iâve booked us a vacation for next week. Already cleared it with your boss, I talked to him before I got here.â You looked down at your fiancĂŠ with loving eyes, tears filling to the rim.
âI love you baby, you know that right?â
âI donât know, sometimes-â Jack couldnât finish the sentence before you started hitting him, soft and playfully.
âOkay okay! Yes, I do know baby. Youâve shown me numerous times, being my number one supporter, no matter what. All I want to do is return the favor.â
âAnd I appreciate that baby, thank you.â
âSo⌠can I get my kisses now?â

Love this kind of angsty fluffđĽ°đĽ°
You really love me, huh?
A/N: Thank you @jackharloww for the request. I wanted to write a little something that was in the âdating stagesâ of the relationship.
Jack had just finished a show, you and him were hurriedly rushed into the car as the weather continued to get worse and worse.
âWe have to leave nowâ Neelam stressed, you both nodding as everyone else was rushed into numerous cars/vans. Neelam usually sat up front with the driver, for your privacy.
âAre you okay?â You turned to Jack who was warming his cold hands up with his breath.
âBaby, youâre cold?â You grabbed his hands and covered them with your own.

Single Hearts - Part 1 Amusement Park
Summary- While taking her daughter to the amusement park for her birthday, Sage meets Jack for the first time.
Jack had gotten engaged to his high school sweetheart, Penelope, right out of high school, getting married about a year later. They even had their daughter, Melody Jade Harlow, a year and a half later. Everything was perfect. Ultimately, throughout the stress of Jackâs career, raising their daughter, and just life in general, they decided they were better off as friends. Nothing specific happened they just slowly realized they didnât love each other as much as they previously did.Â
Penelope and Jack were terrific coparents. They both were committed to doing what was best for their daughter and they both wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. Of course, that wasnât always possible for Jack due to traveling for work, and now that his daughter was seven years old and in school, Penelope and Melody couldnât just fly out to visit him whenever they wanted. Penelope did it as much as possible so that Jack and Melody could see each other as much as their schedules allowed.
Sage, on the other hand, was parenting her five-year-old daughter, Charlotte Grace Taylor, completely alone. She had also thought she had met the love of her life, and for a short time, she did. Unfortunately, her ex-boyfriend didnât feel the same way. Ethan cheated on Sage right after they found out she was pregnant. Before Charlotte was born, Ethan decided he wasnât ready to be a father and left. He hadnât even met his daughter when she was born, even though Sage told him when she was in labor and when Charlotte was officially born.
Can't wait for part 2!đĽ°

Flying over the Atlantic
Alone.Â
Five lettersÂ
Three vowels.Â
A word that describes a physical state where you are physically by yourself.Â
A word that I wouldn't use to describe myself.Â
Lonely.
Six letters.
Two vowels.Â
A word that describes an emotional state where you feel disconnected from others.Â
A word that I would use to describe myself.Â
But, all it would take to make me stop is to book a flight from Los Angeles to London and sit next to an enlightening man 35000 feet in the air.Â
Statistics show that there is a 2% chance to find love on a plane. My chances were very low. Thankfully, the odds were in my favor.Â
I loved to travel. It was a way for me to take a break from life and reset my energy. But, I didn't like sitting next to someone for the next 11 hours who would be shaking his gigantic leg the entire flight.Â
This man was so big that my seat that was attached to his was shaking too. I was trying to concentrate on my book, but my tired eyes and the shaking made it impossible.Â
In my head, I was cursing at him and making him stop. However, I was never the confrontational type. I always took the high road. Hence, I kept my mouth shut and kept trying to read my book.Â
His leg finally stopped shaking. But before I could have some satisfaction he spread his legs wide enough for one of them to touch my leg. He was in my space. I hated it when people were in my space. He didn't move. I didn't move. I felt this burning sensation of discomfort where his leg was touching mine. This time I couldn't keep my mouth shut.Â
âSir?â I said loud enough for him to hear me.Â
He didn't budge. He didn't even turn to look at me. Therefore, I managed to nudge him with my leg which got his attention, as he turned to face me. One could barely see his face with the cap and sunglasses.Â
âSir?â I said again with more aggression in my tone while I was burning holes in his leg with my eyes.Â
He kept quiet and stared at me for a second. Then, he moved around in his chair to find a comfortable position.Â
I only got to read one page from my book before he gave up on shuffling around in his seat.Â
âSorry mam, but there is literally no place for my legs to go, and I can't find a comfortable position to sit in for the next 11 hours.â He said apologetically.Â
I don't know where my courage or rudeness came from, but I managed to let words I would've never said slip my mouth. âWell, maybe you should've gotten yourself in first class.âÂ
He thought I was a bitch. I thought I was a bitch. We were both shocked at my remark.Â
âI am so sorry, I didn't mean..I am so sorry. I don't know what got into me. I'm not usually like this. I think I'm getting my period soon. Sorry again, that was too much information. I talk too much... â I kept apologizing and scrambling for words, while a smile grew on his face.Â
âI triedâ He managed to slip between my endless rambling with a chuckle.Â
I fell silent, looking at him to continue.Â
âI booked last minute and it was fully booked, so I had to get bumped here.â He said with a shrug.Â
âSorry that you had to be stuck in these trashy seats then.â I said, waving around the area where his legs were.Â
âNo need to be sorry, this place is less trashy now that I have a beautiful girl to keep me company for the rest of the flight.â He said charmingly.Â
A blush grew on my entire face. I'm pretty sure I turned into a tomato, earning me another chuckle. I was speechless. I was never good at receiving compliments. Hence, why I only gave him a nod and kept reading my book. Although, I could still feel his eyes on me.Â
âOliver Twist huh, you don't see many people walking around with that book in their hands these days.â He pointed out, drawing my attention from the book I've read too many times.Â
âYeah well, Charles Dickens just hits differentâ I answered.Â
âI would've pegged you more of a Colleen Hoover fan than someone that many in our generation feel is outdated.â He stated.Â
âwell I am a Colleen Hoover fan, but it's completely idiotic to claim that Charles Dickens is outdated.â I said.
We fell silent again, while simply staring at each other. âIs it better to have had a good thing and lost it, or never to have had it?â He blurted, quoting Charles Dickens from his book Our Mutual Friend.
âAre you a Charles Dickens fan too?â I asked curiously.Â
âYep, see we have something in common. We should probably just skip to our wedding.â He joked.Â
He stretched out his hand for me to shake while introducing himself. âI am Jack Harlow.â I introduced myself hesitantly, knowing that I recognized his name.Â
âAhh, a beautiful name for a beautiful girl.â He flirted.
This time I managed to get a word out, but unfortunately, the tomato issue was still in need of work. âCharmingâ.Â
âI wouldn't have thought that a famous rapper like you would take an interest in Charles Dickens.â I teased.Â
He simply laughed as he looked around making sure that nobody heard the famous rapper part. When he noticed that the coast was clear he took off his glasses, revealing the most beautiful ocean eyes. People say that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and his soul was drawing me in. If I had looked a bit longer, I would've drowned.Â
I cleared my throat, taking myself out of my trance just in time to hear his question. âSo what would your answer be to the quote I said before?â
âWow, you just jump into the deep questions, don't you? People usually start with what are your hobbies.â I stated jokingly. Earning another chuckle.Â
âAnyway to answer your question, I would've chosen to have had a good thing and lost it. Isn't that what life is all about? I mean everything you go through ends up shaping you as a person, and the more you go through, the more you learn about yourself.â I added.Â
He nodded approvingly at my answer.Â
âI knew I liked you, how about we skip to just having children by now.â He reasoned with a mischievous glint in his eyes.Â
I playfully hit his arm and from there our conversation flowed. It's so interesting finding a stranger that you feel you've known your whole life.Â
He was just perfect, the more we talked the more I could feel those walls I had all those years crumble and fall to the ground. For the first time in forever, I felt like someone got me. He listened and paused before giving his thoughtful opinion. At this point, we knew everything about each other. Nine hours had managed to fly by, as we were talking for what only felt like an hour.Â
âSo what are your plans here Mr. Harlow, are you going to London for business or pleasure?â I pondered with a playful tone.Â
âI was initially here for business but if I get to spend some time with you it will be both.â He answered with a smirk.Â
âThen we better make sure that you have some pleasure, it would be a shame to travel all this way only for businessâ I answered with my newly found confidence.Â
We resumed our talks about everything and nothing. We even threw in weird questions every now and then like âIf your parachute were to fail, would you rather land on solid ground or in water?â or âWould you rather be a kangaroo or a koala?â.Â
Before we knew it, we had landed safely and were already moving to the baggage claim. He was such a gentleman, insisting on carrying my things and picking up my very heavy bag from the baggage carousel.Â
We stood at the exit and exchanged numbers to keep in touch.Â
âHow about we meet at this location at 8 pm?â He asked while pointing at his phone.Â
âAt eight?!? That's in an hour!â I exclaimed, knowing that I would never make it in time.Â
âAaand?? You will make it. I'm sure of it. If you want, we can make it interesting.â He said with a mischievous grin.Â
I nodded hesitantly, wanting to know what he had in mind.Â
âHow about we strike a deal? If you get late then you lose and have to do whatever I want to do for the rest of the evening, and if you win and get there in time then I'll have to do whatever you want for the rest of the evening. This will surely motivate you more to come on time.â He explained.Â
âOkay, fineâ I said intrigued. âLet's seal the deal for this challenge.â I continued as I stretched my hand for him to shake.Â
Instead, he pulled me in by my hand as his lips crashed on mine. I couldn't help myself from threading my fingers through his curls as he kept pulling me impossibly closer to him. The butterflies in my stomach were getting crazier by the second.Â
Once we pulled apart completely breathless he managed to say âNow that's how you seal a deal.â
He quickly looked at the time, reminding me that time was ticking. He started backing away to one of the taxis as I was doing the same.Â
Before he hopped in the cab, he shouted âBest believe I'm going to win this!â

Hiiiyaaa lovies, know it's been a while. Many of you have been asking me if I still write and I do. It just takes me some time to post because I've been very uninspired lately, and I don't want to post anything I'm not satisfied with. Buuuuttt, watched a movie yesterday that was called Love at first sight, and it just got the ideas flowing. Plus I wanted to post something on my bday. Hope you like it and stay tuned for moređĽ°đĽ°

It just takes me some time to post because I've been very uninspired lately, and I don't want to post anything I'm not satisfied with. Buuuuttt, watched a movie yesterday that was called Love at first sight, and it just got the ideas flowing. Plus I wanted to post something on my bday. Hope you like it and stay tuned for moređĽ°đĽ°

âItâs not nice to screamâ
Summary: The one where you and Jack get into a heated argument and the kids wake up. - Angst to fluff
Jack was working on his album, which meant he was away in the studio for hours every day for the past few weeks. When the weekend came you thought he would stay at home with you, but at first, he had to go to the studio to finish a track, after that, it was a work lunch and after that, he went out with the boys. Meanwhile, you were at home with both your kids, feeling exhausted.
Made me feel all giddy insideđĽ°

Hiiiyaaa I've been writing but haven't posted anything yet. I've been so overwhelmed by school starting now, but I'll be posting very soonâ¤ď¸

Synopsis: Jack is ready to have deep talks about emotional vulnerability and he hears Zoey sing for the first time.
Theme song:
Love makes you do the craziest things. Jack had been speaking to his therapist about ways to be more vulnerable and emotionally available with Zoey in order to feel more comfortable and confident in telling her that he loved her. He spent the last week and a half looking at what relationship experts had to say about it and really taking in a bunch of information that he truly felt was useful. Zoey was worth it and he almost didnât even recognize himself with how much effort he was putting in to get closer to her in every way that wasnât just purely physical.
They had that on lock.
He was back in Miami for a few days and as he laid in Zoeyâs bed, he decided now was as good of a time as any to do this. âSo Iâve been talking to my therapist about how I really want to be able to express myself in a healthier way, especially with you and she suggested that we play a game. Are you up for that?â
