There are moments when it feels like the world has moved on, like everything we’ve lost is just another story that people scroll past. But every now and then, kindness reminds us that we are not forgotten.

Today, we’ve reached $1,580 out of $90,000, and while it’s still a long way from what we need, it’s proof that people still care. That hope still exists.

I never thought I would be in a position where I had to ask for help just to survive. 25 members of my family are gone. Our home has been reduced to rubble. Every day is a fight—not just for survival, but to hold onto the smallest piece of dignity.

i see people making art and telling others to use it because fundraisers with art are generally reblogged more often. i see people using colored text in order to make the post more eye catching.

palestinians on instagram are using popular audios and stitch trending reels at the beginning to make the world pay attention to them. imagine having to make something look entertaining in order to survive.

they are living under constant threat of israeli airstrikes, bombing, scarcity of food and disease. many have lost a lot in the past few months.

palestinians on tumblr are posting their pictures and the horrible conditions in which they are living. they travel long distances for internet connection only to be called a scammer by some privileged ass who cannot locate gaza on a map.

I have grown increasingly horrified over the past two days seeing donations slowly stagnate and then stop entirely, often for hours. I had originally thought this campaign is better to promote in piecemeal, so we can evacuate children first. But I guess this was phrased as if this wasn't an urgent campaign, and I have failed Shaima and Muhammad, their spouses, and their children.

This is not a campaign that we can afford to wait for weeks to complete. A few hours ago today (August 2), the iof launched another series of targeted airstrikes at civilian camps near Khan Younis, bombing three separate neighborhoods. At least 9 people are martyred, numbers expected to rise as reports come in.

The iof has a habit of targeting children, a trauma surgeon from a field hospital in Khan Younis reported operating on more children with gunshot wounds to the head and chest than he could count in a lifetime. There are 10 children in this family. Please do not only be mobilized by tragedy.

We need to get to the full $80,000 goal as soon as possible. I hoped we can raise the funds to evacuate at least four of the children by the end of this week, which means we need to raise a total of $12,500. Please help Wafaa and the family in this endeavor.

I could tell you that Hala agency is now charging anyone above the age of 16 (and even when Wafaa negotiated with them last, 15 year olds who may turn 16 when they are evacuated) as ADULTS, which means 7 of the children in this family are charged as adults because of sheer corporate greed.

I could tell you that Malak is a great artist, and her family hopes that she could go to art school and use her expression to share the beauty of Palestine across the world. I could tell you that Salma is empathetic to a fault, who would feel the pain of her siblings and her friends more acutely than anyone. I could tell you that Yazid had already made plans to marry his girlfriend, and both of them had gotten their wedding clothes tailored, their wedding guests invited. I could tell you that Shaima loves horseback riding, and loved the way wind moved around her and on her skin.

Please help this family. I have run out of words to say and plead you make a difference today. I want more people to stand up for this family, and right now there are none.

The last donations were from 20 minutes ago, and we've only gotten 3 donations in the past hour. We need to raise at least $9,000 by the end of day if we are to try to evacuate at least four children with Wafaa's family. Donate what you can now for the safety and future of this family.

My friend Ahmed, his wife Maram, and their three little children Habiba (4), Kareem (2), and Muhammad (1) have been displaced multiple times in besieged Gaza. Their home was destroyed by the zionist occupation, and they have been forced to flee from place to place with no end in sight, facing famine, liver disease, skin rashes, and the recent threat of polio due to dirty drinking water. They are beyond exhausted. Ahmed frequently sends videos and photos of the conditions that have been imposed upon them, including bombings only hundreds of feet away from the place they’re currently staying.

They need €20,000, and they need it ASAP, to secure evacuation for all 5 of them when the border opens again, half of their overall target.

At €19,246, they are VERY close to this vital goal, but not there yet.

They hope to raise the remaining €754 in the next 3 DAYS, before the month is through. We need to hit €20k before 08/01/2024.

Please don’t cause my friends to despair. Please contribute what you can. Even €10 builds momentum into greater funds, and each euro is LIFE-SAVING.

Amal was studying for her Master's degree when the bombardment started, and had to flee her home with her husband, and her one year old girl Maryam.

Since January, the three of them have been living in a tent in Rafah. Even after constant displacement, and the unlivable conditions they've been forced to endure, they've been ordered to evacuate once again. With nowhere to go, Amal and her beautiful family are trapped. They need OUR help to save them. They are unable to cross the border without the required funds, and donations to their campaign have been stagnating!

As of now, Amal's campaign hasn't reached even 25% of it goal, and time is of the essence. Please, please, I urge you to donate if you have anything at all to spare, and to share this as much as you can, because these wonderful parents and this precious baby are counting on us.
