Publishing a coloring book is one of the great ways that you can spread your ideas to others.  The reader can enjoy learning about lessons and coloring pictures in a coloring book. There are many coloring books in bookstores that come in many subjects, from fantasy designs to animals.   A coloring book can be useful to educate and entertain the reader.  Some of these coloring books can be used to educate others in some subjects.    

It can be fun to publish your own coloring book and share it with others.  You can publish your own coloring book and distribute it to your friends and online bookstores.  You can do some research and be creative in your illustrations for your work.  In this piece, I have attached some examples of my work that you can enjoy.                 

Here are some points that can be useful for you to publish your coloring book.

The Ingredients that are needed to publish your own Coloring Book.

To publish a coloring book, you need to have the materials for its creation.  To start, you must have a strong interest in your subject.   Your interest must be organized into a central thesis for your book.   You can have an interest in subjects such as trains or flowers, but the interest must be focused on a central idea, such as the beauty of flowers or the types of trains from around the world.  Next, you need to do some research on your subject, if you want to support your views in the coloring book.   You can use books and online resources to support your ideas.  If you like illustrating or hired an artist for your pages, you can add the drawings to the book.  If you want to create your own illustrations for your coloring book, you can use pencil and drawing markers to make the drawings for your pages.  For the cover, you can make another copy of one of your coloring pages, and color the picture with colored pencils or markers. 

                You can use some of the Microsoft applications in adding text to your coloring book.  You can use Microsoft Publisher to add and design words for your cover.    You can scan the picture on a pdf format for your cover.  Then you can add the pdf photo to a plate on Microsoft Publisher and add words to the picture.  Finally, you can type in the title and format the letters to grab attention. For the rest of the pages, you can use Microsoft Word or other pdf format sites to add texts to your coloring book. 

The Use of POD ( Print-on-Demand) Sites to Share your Coloring Book

There are some print-on-demand sites that you can submit your files of the coloring book online.  KDP Amazon and Lulu.com are two of the many POD sites online that you can use to publish and distribute your coloring book.  These sites have functions that you can format your   coloring book such as inserting your design for your cover and formatting your cover.   After the coloring book is created and accepted on the sites, you have the option of global distribution.  The work can be distributed to bookstores and other sites online.  However, each site is different.  On KDP Amazon, you can distribute your work for free while you must pay to have your work release in Lulu.com.  Nevertheless, you must follow the directions that are posted on the sites.

I have been learning about publishing for years. I used what I had learn to format and publish my coloring books to KDP Amazon and Lulu.com.   Although I did not receive many sales on these sites, I enjoy the experience in submitting my works to many online bookstores worldwide.  Here are some examples of my works on Lulu.com and Amazon.com that you can enjoy.  I have attached the links to these works.
