Destiny, Reignited is my band Order of Týr’s 5th album. Released on December 31st, 2016, it is essentially a rerecording of our first Video Game Metal album, Flames of Destiny. I’d say this album leans a bit more toward Power Metal than Progressive Metal, but it still maintains a heavy usage of chip-esc synths and sounds. Once again, I did a large amount of programming on this album + the mixing and mastering. Also, background vocals. Lots of background vocals.

Graviton Lifebomb is my band Order of Týr’s 4th album. Released July 1st, 2015, it continues our style of reimagining video game music, melodies, and themes in a Progressive Metal context. Thrown into the mix are original vocals and melodies, as well as chip sounds and lead synths either created by or emulating sounds from the the Nintendo Game Boy, the Nintendo Entertainment System, or the Sega Genesis. Not only do I play drums for Order of Týr, but I did quite a bit of programming on this album as well as the mixing and the mastering of it.

By our powers combined, my friend Donna and I did a vocal cover of the Dirty Dancing song as a tribute to Sega for giving us some of the best times of our lives. Makes sense, right?

A vocal/video tribute to "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News as well as the Back to the Future trilogy itself. There's also a bit of the game Ms. Splosion Man that was brought to life by Twisted Pixel.  What's worse than getting interrupted by an annoying phone call while playing Ms. Splosion Man you might ask? Well... nothing. Mike goes on a journey through time to save himself from himself.

Another nerdy vocal cover/video tribute, except this time, lets use a song that wasn't nerdy to begin with... This is Battlefield by Jordin Sparks. All credit goes to her for the original song and lyrics, I just worked my vocal cords and added some video magic.

As a tribute to Brentalfloss, this is a vocal cover of his song Mega Man 3 With Lyrics. All credit goes to him for this awesome song. Be sure to check him out on bandcamp!

For episode 009, I share a few of my knowledge nuggets pertaining to the Sonic the Hedgehog Saturday morning cartoon.

In this little quickandtothepoint Hammer Klog, I talk about one of my favorite scenes from the 1986 Transformers movie.

-A cover I did back in 2008.  The original song can be found on Avenged Sevenfold's album Sounding the Seventh Trumpet.

-This was a piece I arranged for the Briarcrest Percussion Ensemble back in the Spring of 2008, being arranged for battery percussion as well as a front ensemble. The original song can be found on Dream Theater's album Scenes from a Memory.
