I have this concept that I don't really want to write myself on account of me not being a good writer but I'd love to try and put on somebody else. Basically it takes place around the Thriller era, Michael has this secret boyfriend who he ends up having to break up with after his record-breaking stratospheric success leads to bitter press exploding the rumor mill about their relationship publicly, and everything deals with the aftermath of that. He's trying to move on for the sake of his career and the love of his fans and his family and probably picking a girl to settle down with, but it breaks his heart having to hide in shame for something that wasn't even wrong and he's lonely and missing what they had and the doors it opened up inside him. I'm torn on how dark I want it to go, because I know the homophobia against him would definitely go to some pretty ugly places (as in real life), but I hope maybe it might make him a little more careful to not give them the exact story they want.
