Hello, good evening! I admit I’m not usually the type to create OCs, but... I had a design in mind and was eager to draw it. I also took the liberty of fleshing out some details for the character, and, well, I’d love to share her with you all ❤️
Trauma: In the real world, she was a shy girl with severe social anxiety who struggled greatly to talk to others, which consequently left her lonely and socially frustrated. She desperately wanted to make friends and had so much to say, but because her social block constantly held her back, she mostly just listened to others... never getting the chance to speak.
Cuerpo en el circo digital: Given her past emotional and psychological state, her avatar inside the circus took the form of a scarecrow with a stitched-shut mouth, preventing Cilenc from speaking. Therefore, she communicates by writing in a notebook that she always carries with her.
Because her body is made of straw, her limbs are limp and flexible, giving her a clumsy gait: every time she walks, her feet buckle due to the lack of rigidity.
Cilenc's Room: Cilenc's room features a cornfield theme, with wallpaper designed to look like a farm. Due to her emotional burden, she was punished with a room where she can hear everything and everyone inside the circus—no matter where they are—like a curse that forces her to listen to everyone without being able to speak a word. Her bed is a cross-shaped wooden frame that holds her suspended while she rests.
Because of these uncomfortable and strange features, Cilenc avoids spending time in her room; instead, she prefers to sleep in a corner of the rarely visited cafeteria. A pillow, a blanket, and her bucket of objects are all she keeps nearby during her nights of rest in the cafeteria.
Trivia and additional information:
❗ Realizing she couldn't eat the virtual meals due to her sewn-shut mouth, Caine granted Cilenc the ability to feed simply by bringing food close to her face. As soon as the food touches her mouth, the pieces slowly vanish, allowing her to enjoy the meals and experience the sensation of having them in her mouth.
❗ Caine left a collection of scarecrow hats in Cilenc's room. She doesn't usually wear them, but she loves collecting them and is always happy to receive another one as a mission reward.
❗ She is a great writer! Besides writing frequently to communicate, Cilenc enjoys writing stories in her spare time. By the end of the series, she teams up with Gangle to work on a comic book story together.
❗ She dislikes adventures involving fire; if she gets too close to the flames, her body could burn easily and far too quickly.
❗ Despite being close to only a few characters, Cilenc is empathetic and cares about everyone, doing her best to help them and ensure their well-being—even when some of them (namely Jax) ignore or mistreat her.
Relationships:
❗ Kinger: Cilenc views Kinger as a father figure, despite his madness. He has always been kind and gentle with her, comforting her and making her laugh and feel good ever since she arrived at the circus. He reminded her a bit of her real-life father (whose face she couldn't recall, though she remembered the feeling of being with him). More than just close friends, they became family to her.
❗ Ragatha: he has always been kind to Cilenc and patient enough to wait for her to write down the words she wanted to say, leading to many hours spent talking together. Ragatha felt comfortable opening up a bit more to Cilenc, who was a great listener—especially when it came to her friends.
❗ Gangle: Cilenc loves Gangle's drawings and has told her so many times. Bonded by their creative interests and shared shyness, the two became good friends and spend time creating art and stories together. Oh, she loved anime, too.
❗ Pomni: Cilenc and Pomni got along well, but due to Pomni's recent arrival, she didn't have much patience for communicating with Cilenc; consequently, they don't talk much and usually only spend time together when in the company of other friends. Nevertheless, they get along and are friendly toward one another.
❗ Zooble: Cilenc and Zooble don't particularly click, though they aren't very close. Sometimes, when an adventure isn't safe for her straw body, Cilenc ends up spending pleasant time with Zooble.
❗ Jax: Jax finds Cilenc boring and ignores her almost all the time, acting as if she didn't exist. He interacts with her when it suits his interests, but it’s rare. Despite this, Cilenc worries about Jax's sanity and emotional well-being, just as she does for everyone else. He dislikes it when she shows this concern, so he always walks away in annoyance.
❗ Caine: Despite Caine's insane nature, Cilence enjoys his presence; just as with the other characters, Caine constantly tries to please her and give her gifts (such as hats for her collection). She finds him funny.
❗ Bubble: Bubble sometimes makes her laugh, but most of the time he scares her—mainly because of his teeth.
