Imagining Véla wandering in the woods after Trespasser. She meets a giant wolf and their eyes meet. Memories wash over her mind like a tidal wave: curiosity, smell of old books, parchment and ink, stolen glances and gentle smiles, kisses and elven words spoken in a soft voice. For a moment she sees Solas, a life they could've had together but never did.

Rise
Small part of Véla's backstory.
Long before becoming the inquisitor and a rift mage, Véla found her solace in snowy mountains and their cold silence. As the other children of her clan often called her cold and found her quiet nature somewhat strange, Véla decided to embrace it instead of feeling insecure of the names she was called. She developed a deeper understanding of ice and snow, which soon led her to learn ice magic.

A Fade Carol
A Fade Carol In the Fade, every choice has a ghost On Solstice Eve, the Fade fractures. Lavellans from the past, present, and future cross the Multiverse into Solas’s regret-prison, showing him the worlds shaped by every choice he made. This night, he must face them all and decide whether atonement is still in reach.
I've met so many amazing, hilarious, kind and creative Solavellans this past year. It's been such a privilege to chat with people who have such interesting perspectives on the Inquisitor, Lavellan, Solas and of course, Thedas. I always look forward to anlaysis of our favourite, tragic, mythic power couple and of the world we all love.
I wanted to create something for them (with my limited design skills, thank you Canva) as they have brought me a lot of joy, laughter and tears over this last year and it's amazing to know you have a safe space in a crazy online world. This is a just a few of the wildly different Lavellans I have come to know. I so enjoy seeing the joy my fellow Solavellans get out of their own Lavellans.
Thank you to the following (who are on Tumblr) for trusting me with your babies in a secret creative project: @gaiabloom @topaz-carbuncle @daylinlavellan @amoaliquis @sh00kspeared @mythedaslore @miraabellee @melkeyway @celesenova @kittyhittyrh98 @elvenglory @miatheenchanted @lotsofthinkythoughts
And you can bet I'm writing A Fade Carol now.
It seems that I'll be drawing some 🌶 Solavellan next, thank you for voting 🫶🏻
I want to give my special thanks to @miraabellee for sharing this poll in their blog, that was so increadibly nice of you and i wouldn’t have gotten as many votes without your support. Don't know why exactly you want to be so nice and kind to me, but I appreciate so much, thank you ❤️
I'm currently hitting a rock bottom with my depression and swimming in some pretty dark currents, trying to grasp the faintest light spots of my life. I find it hard to keep my head above the water, but somehow I'll always survive. Right now, the Solavellan community is taking good care of the few, fragile pieces of my sanity that I still have left and I couldn’t be more grateful.
I started making art five years ago when I started therapy. It was to keep me calm, to calm my nerves before and after sessions. I would feel safe when I held the pen and let my mind wander. Drawing became an important lifeline to me.
Jump to this day and it is still a lifeline to me, the only difference being that I share it with the few people online. I'd like to say it doesn't matter to me how many likes or comments I get or don't get, but that would be a lie. You see, when I started drawing it was something I did for myself, to calm my anxious mind. As I went on, I realized I wanted to share my love for drawing with others and tell my story.
And now I'm blown away by your kindness, your wonderful and funny and sweet tags you use when you reblog my art. Every time I see you call my art "pretty" or read how it makes you feel something, I take it deep into my heart.
Drawing is very personal to me, it has literally saved my life and helped me. Solavellan has helped me improve my art and channel my feelings into some of the best pieces I've ever drawn. The support of this wonderful community has encouraged me to keep going and made me feel like it truly matters what I put in to this world.
I'm only grain of sand, so I feel lucky to be seen by you. Thank you for keeping my head up when I'm too tired to do it alone.
