"You are making it awfully tempting to start something," she said, to his protest.

"Three hours of Professor Solas explaining why everything I find interesting about music is wrong."

Let's just start with Solas

Solas - IT'S COMPLICATED. They've literally gone through the full spectrum of colours here throughout their weird relationship. For instance, she's always been problematic, and during the Rebellion, Solas sent her on an impossible mission which she wasn't supposed to come back from (she survived, bitche). AND THEN, centuries pass and he forgot her completely 😂 (she's always been in the far periphery anyway). After a long and crazy/terrible journey, they do arrive at love and there it will always be profound. Mutual respect out of mutual terror of the other. Will hunt one another until the last star burns out.

Blackwall - "We are/were hiding something from our friends and also We Suck". Blackwall has been treated as somewhat of an outsider since his revelations. Zjinn Nhyro(vir), known as Maordrid for a fair portion of the story, is also Going Through It. For her own reasons, she has been navigating Skyhold under different disguises, and one of her identities is a mute healer named Zyr'hael that uses signing or writing to communicate. One day, Maordrid forgot to remove part of her disguise and Blackwall, having recently visited the infirmary, recognised her. Instead of exposing her (but also because he and the Inquisitor are at odds) Blackwall was like "fuck it" and decided to befriend her. Blackwall is her princess and she is his Good Knight in a way that's both irreverent and self-deprecating. :D

Varric - Like fire & alcohol. In another story/world, these two are probably lovers. Varric encourages her brand of weird (only when no one is looking). They'll talk about crime, engineering, and of course, stories. At first, it's just that, swapping tales. And then it evolves into talking about the story they're currently living in. They debate about who's a Main Character, who would make a great villain (and what makes a good one), antagonist, hero, anti-hero, who is doomed by the narrative, the bearer of The Curse, etc. They discuss archetypes (with her getting a little riled up against assigning 'roles' and boxes to real people). But then, when she (in confidence) reveals that she has worn many names, they get into this weird (silly) game of Varric being like "All right, pretend you're [this role], in this situation. Spin me a story. Go!" so then she assumes a character and tries to seamlessly weave it into their current situation. In Resonance, she and Dorian actually call Varric the Narrator lol

Samson - I love Samson (at least, the one in my story). Their relationship is so complicated. He uhhh hurt her Very Bad in the beginning of the story, found out who she was, what she's done. Inquisition captures him, he blackmails her, but secretly he begins to respect her. He is one of the few people she truly hates, but can't bring herself to kill (for reasons)

Cole - Protect at all costs

Sera - little kind-of-sister who she knows has some growing up to do and decides to have fun with despite her occasionally shitty and insensitive attitude

Iron Bull - flat out distrusts. They antagonise each other every time they're within proximity. Bull would absolutely sleep with her if she showed interest. There's a mutual, low-simmering "I wanna beat you into the dirt" at all times.

Cullen - CULLEN, CULLEN AHHH. She distrusted him on principal because "Templar", and then they briefly became friends...until Cullen shit it all up and now it's back to deep distrust on both sides. But she's ancient and while she no longer trusts him, she does find him amusing because Cullen now has it out for her.

Abelas - recently introduced - does not trust on principal because Mythal 😂IT'S MUTUAL.

Dorian - if anything happened to her partner in magical-crime, she'd turn back time and get him back. Her and Dorian have shared trauma over world-ending magic that they both unleashed in the "DA4 timeline" in their attempt to "stop" Solas. She loves Dorian without reserve, and it's totally unconditional. They're mad geniuses together.

Vivienne & Morrigan - she doesn't have very many interactions with these two, but if she did, she finds Vivienne very interesting. Respects her, obviously doesn't agree with her stance on mages, but knows Vivienne has gone through some shit and understands her. Morrigan...straight distrust. Finds her commentary on elves and elven history hilarious, but absolutely stays away from her.

Leliana & Cass - both know somethin' ain't right with that elf. They can't figure it out, but they're watching.
