i embroidered my jacket!

learning sashiko has been so much fun and i'm still working on making my stitches more straight and less wonky, but for not having used a stitch guide for any of it and just drawing the pattern myself, i think it turned out pretty decent! it's not perfect but it's made with love and patient effort and that is what matters more. i might also do some stitching down the placket/outer trim eventually...but i like it for now :)

my freestyling ways and terrible judgement meant this tie got Frankensteined to hell and back (knitted with love then sliced up and needle felted with after realising how short id made it)

this pair is a personal challenge, i do not really like this shade of jeans but i wanted to see if i could make something out of it regardless, without immediatly going for fabric dye. (altho i used fabric dye for the fishbone so i failed there lol)

Using (mostly) cotton thread, an embroidery hoop, and a needle, I’ve been edge stitching circles onto this pair of old jeans. (You can work edge stitch flat)

All the visible mending projects I’ve posted have been on identical pairs of old jeans. This is because an older gentleman that I walk my dog with, gave them to me to practice my embroidery on. He was gonna take them to the cotton recycling, but figured I would be more appreciative. He, very autistically, only ever bought dozens of pairs of the same jeans lol. He gave me like 6 pairs, and they’re all very worn through. So I’ve just been embroidering them back together.
