Then, of course, there's the bit with H getting eaten by D during year 2. HOW could C have allowed that? D is still going to have its way with H, there's no question there, but C being awake would mean an almost immediate kill-spree focused on D were the eating totally successful. I would rather, in this case, have H escape with its womb gone and go to C, who probably then assumes the role of protecter if that wasn't already the case. We can have a nice ominous buildup to C's rampage, and more opportunity to explore the actual relationship between H and C.

Then it descends into Throwaway hell, which I shall not describe on the cdastw blog because of Reasons.

Fortunately, D is 100% capable of taking care of it when it can't function for a while. The humans are just kind of awkwardly stuck on the outside and can't really help, but, what're you gonna do. Eldritch horrors.
