I just heard the most dick and Bruce core song in my dream and I can’t find it. It was acoustic guitar and the woman singing had a slight country accent and the lyrics included the words “red robin” and the chorus was “I wonder what they’ll think like when they send me away” with variations that changed the “they” with “I” and “you”
There was a bit of a pause between “I” and “wonder”. Also there was a lyric in there about going to college at 19? The whole song was basically about the anxiety from both the parents and the kid about leaving the nest
If know it please tell me? My brain’s not clever enough to come up with a song like that on it’s own
