This is up there for the funniest thing I have seen on a television serial. They are supposed to be in the Adirondacks south of Lake Placid. They are very clearly not (forgivable), but then they attempt to sell the English ivy growing all over the set as ginseng, which is just fucking hilarious. Gingseng, growing in winter. A notoriously direct-sun intolerant plant, in a young distrubed forest with open canopy. The prop also looks nothing like ginseng, which should have larger ovate leaves in clusters typically of 5. And then the roots. If it was old-growth ginseg, those roots would be complex and all over the place, less like asparagus such as pictured.
For a "smart" show, it really cracks me up how much Elementary gets wrong re: insects (oh the bee episodes are special - I yelled at the screen when Sherlock implied the mathematicians' rationale trumped the entomologists' just because they were mathematicians) and plants. This must be how medical professionals feel watching medical dramas.
Literally no one asked, but i'm getting back into sherlock holmes so i'm just going to make a top 5 list of the best live action portrayals I've seen.
1. Jeremy Brett
2. Vasily Livanov
3. Basil Rathbone
4. Robert Stephens
5. Jonny Lee Miller
And the best part is, I don't have to explain myself.
I LOVE MYCROFT
out of the woods (elementary’s version)!

THIS ^ IS FUCKING DELIGHTFUL
and honestly the whole time Watson and Sherlock had the most aro + aro conversation around her love life (which was amazing), i was like "when are we addressing the tortoise in the room" and eheheh
as much as I love elementary it irks me to no end that all three of the major/recurring women characters end the show as mothers
Elementary is a show about a high support needs autistic man and his best friend, a late diagnosed, low support needs autistic woman
