the beat of his heart has grown erratic, UNSTABLE. it’s not an uncommon occurrence, in actuality, but the prospect of what is to come haunts him WORSE than any phantom. steve put him up to it; orignally bucky had protested. he didn’t want to come here, not to a tower named after a friend he had betrayed long ago. tony hated him, rightfully so. it had already been made very CLEAR where they stood, and if that was what tony wanted, bucky was content not to toe the line. it has been months, but he can’t help but feel the same way he did that night in siberia— sick to his stomach, nervous, and the remaining hand TREMBLES ever so slightly.

you just have to talk to him, steve promised him. he won’t hurt you. i swear. and bucky knows steve to keep his promises, but it HARDLY eases his nerves. he’s walked through the tower, trailing forlornly after steve, every hall feeling like another winding, UNENDING corridor. eventually he’s brought to a room, a conference room by the looks of it, and he’s there. TONY STARK. for a moment bucky only stares, but then steve gently nudges his arm, and there’s a hollow, soft greeting.

she lets out a huff, arms crossed again - st her chest. as childish as mj can some - times be, she absolutely  hates being ca - lled a KID. 

       but then again … she is CHILDISH.

and she grins up at him oh - so - innoc - ently, as if she doesn’t  know that she’s being a PAIN. all she’s doing is waiting for peter to come out of his meeting with mr. stark – might as well have fun annoying the grumpy old guy. 

oh, no. SIXTEEN. he remembers that age— getting into trouble with steve, breaking rules, being adventurous and trying new things... being a little shit. it’s not as funny anymore, now that he’s on the RECEIVING end of the annoyance. there’s a newfound respect in his heart for the parents of teenagers, pink lips turning in a frown. he’s already made it very clear to tony that he is NOT babysitting, but it seems this irritating little redhead is going to occupy his afternoon anyhow.
