To make them even more domestic, what do they do? They adopt an orange cat.

They live in a small house, with this cute backyard where their cat loves to spend the day exploring or napping in the sunlight.

One day, Eddie gets back from a grocery run and finds it weird that Steve isn't in the kitchen. The stove is still on, the pot of curry he had been making is on a slow simmer and the kitchen smells divine but is Steveless.

After a moment, Eddie spots Steve in the backyard through the glass door. As he gets closer, he notices Steve has Pumpkin in his arms as he slowly rocks the cat like a baby, but it's when Eddie finally reaches the door that he can hear what his boyfriend is saying.

"I know you're always hungry, Pumpkin, but birds aren't food. Birds are friends," he says, and Pumpkin meows back as if in protest. "No, you can't eat them."
