1. Repetition Is the key to a good habit, the more you do something the more automatic it becomes.

2. Consistency Doing something consistently in-grains the pattern in your behaviour. Try to make the action a daily thing.

3. Make the task easier. The easier the task the more easy it is for it to become automatic. Complicated actions or behaviours take longer to become automatic. So break things down, make the task easier, do it at the right time and in the right place.

4. Trigger it. Make your habit an unconscious reflex by creating a trigger for the action to happen, for instance a daily habit you already have could then lead into the new one. Alternatively a particular state of mind (putting on your ‘work head’ could also be a good grounding for creating a good habits.

5. Re-enforce. Consciously re-enforce the habit if you are slacking off. This re-imprints the behavioural pattern, it’s easy to relearn good habits just as easy as it is to slip back into old bad habits.

6. Reward yourself. A positive reward is always a good driver, the brain will always try to take you from a bad place to a good place. A reward for positive behaviour may give your habit momentum, you also know you are getting there with a habit when you feel bad when you haven’t done it.

Héctor Méndez, conocido como El Chino o El Topo Mayor, declaró ayer, 20 de septiembre, en el noticiario de la periodista Carmen Aristegui que su organización no estaba solicitando donaciones ni dinero para ayudar a las víctimas del sismo magnitud 7.1. En un fragmento del programa, que circuló y circuló por redes sociales, el brigadista afirmaba lo siguiente: “Por ahí en las redes hay otro grupo que ya empezó a sacar mi nombre y pedir dinero para los damnificados que se llama Topos de Tlatelolco y tiene como emblema la garra y la huella de un topo. El titular se llama Rafael López López. Por favor, que la gente no le deposite dinero porque de manera reiterada él está pidiendo dinero y ahorita con esta gran desgracia que padece el pueblo de México, yo lo denuncio de manera pública. Nosotros, Topos Azteca, jamás hemos pedido ni tenemos cuentas”, declaró El Chino, fundador del grupo de rescate.

Estas declaraciones hicieron que muchos ciudadanos se sintieran defraudados o que, al menos, les entrara la duda sobre el destino de sus donaciones. ¿Los topos realmente estaban recibiendo dinero? ¿este otro grupo era legítimo o espurio? ¿quién se estaba beneficiando del sismo? ¿entonces en quién podemos confiar?
