The last Dragonlord black & white version I did a redraw of an old piece of art. I really couldn’t decide what kind of story it should tell and made two versions of it.

Am I completely abandoning this blog? Maybe.
Am I deeply regretful and sad about abandoning it? Yes. Very much so. I’m just having a hard time writing Merlin right now.
Do I still unconditionally love Merlin and all of my followers? Yes. Most definitely.
Will I be back? Maybe. This could turn into an end of season five thing though. When your need for a Merlin rp blog is greatest, I will return.
Can you find me anywhere else? Yes! In fact, I have started another rp blog for a character named August. He and Merls do have their similarities, if I’m being honest.
Will I miss this? A shit ton.
I am so so so sorry about this, guys.

Merlin hums softly as he walks down the hall. It’s raining outside, so he purposely takes the long way to avoid coming into contact with the elements. He’s in a cheery mood today. Rain is his favourite.
Morgana had always disliked days where she was confined indoors. It was limiting and often meant listening to Uther’s rants on magic and war. Today however, seemed to be more peaceful. At least for her as she had chosen to watch the knights training outside from one of the palace windows, trying to keep warm but too restless to not be up and about.
He’s halfway down the hall when he spots a familiar face.
“Morgana!” he calls. He smiles as he heads her way.
She looked over her shoulder back in the general direction of the sound when she heard her name being called by a familiar voice.
“Hello, Merlin.” She smiled turning around to face him properly.
His smile only grew wider. “What’re you doing out here?”
“I’d rather not spend all day cooped up in a room with nothing to do.” She shrugged, still smiling back at him.
“It’s nice out here. Nice and rainy.”

“I suppose you needed to get some fresh air as well?” Morgana questioned.
“Surely Arthur wouldn’t send you out at this time for anything?”
“Gaius,”
“He needed some herbs. It’s a little bit of an emergency.”
“Herbs for an emergency?”
“I do hope they’ll be okay. Maybe I can help you?” she suggested. It would get her mind off the nightmare, and magic.
“I can manage. I was just heading back anyway.” He hopes she doesn’t ask anymore.
Morgana sighed but nodded. “Alright. If you’re sure,” she replied, sounding a bit disappointed.
He feels a little guilty at this. “I could walk you back, if you’d like.”
Morgana nodded, giving a light smile. “Sure. I suppose it’s best if I get back anyways…,”
“Um... Yeah! It’s getting, uh, pretty late.” A little guilt grows larger as he speaks.

Yup. I hate to say it, but I will be gone from the tenth till the twentieth. I’ll be doing a last round of drafts the day before hiatus and I’ll get to them as soon as I get back! I’ll miss you all!

“Who’s there?”
Merlin glances around, trying to identify the source of the noise. He’s nervous for a few reasons. For one, he’s not supposed to be here. It’s also the middle of the night, which makes him even more suspicious.
Arthur looked down and grinned. “What are you doing out this late at night. I would have thought that with all the work I have given you lately. You’d be fast asleep. I can wonder the same about you"he said coming from round the corner wondering why he was sneaking around the castle so late at night.
“I was... reading.” He nods, trying to be as convincing as he can be, which, truthfully, isn’t very. “Uh, the,” he pauses, trying to come up with a more plausible excuse, “light is better out here.”

“I’m sorry I’ve been gone…”
“Well you have a load of clothes and other chores to catch up on. And on the other hand. You can tell me why I shouldn’t find a new manservant for someone who as been missing for four days—”
“It wasn’t my fault.”
It's a sorry excuse, but the best Merlin can come up with without disclosing anything too incriminating.
