My favorite thing in Royed fics:
Roys house. I love exploring where Roy lives in fics like that. It sometimes feels like a character of its own in fics. And it's my favorite Royed trope. Roy's house being a safe haven for Ed. Where Ed can just be Ed. Not a big brother/parent. Not the fullmetal alchemist. Just Ed. It's a way to see more of who Roy Mustang is. But also a place where Ed can just feel safe with Roy in whatever way that can be.
I miss my mom a lot.
Everyday, I think about her.
She was just here and then...she is gone.
All my moments with her are turned into memories.
She lives in my memories.
But I feel like my mom is just someone from a story I once heard about.
She doesn't feel real to me, not anymore. But she was.
She was my mommy.
And then, 10 years have passed.
I still feel like a little girl, just trying to find her mommy in the supermarket.
This time, I cannot find her.
And, I still see myself carrying that flower arrangement, just outside the funeral home, behind me, it's her coffin.
I find it funny though...I often would visit my grandparent's grave with my mom and I never thought, It would turn into my mom's grave too.

I have a question regarding the Ultimate Eye. This is a weird one; of all the Homunculi's special abilities, this is by far the most vague. I can't recall it ever being explained in either the manga, BroHo, or even 03, beyond just, again, very vague statements like "I can see you doing that its no use mwahaha". What does the eye even actually do? Is it clarified anywhere at all? A lot of people assume its like a slow-motion/Sharingan thing, but this is all hearsay with no citations ever given.
Honestly, I'm not sure either. I do also get the feeling it works sort of like sharingan, probably? Tomorrow I'll check the guidebooks and see if it's explained in detail at all, but off the top of my head I don't remember it ever being fully explained in the actual story.
Alright, as promised I dug out my guidebooks. Perfect Guidebook 2 has a section on the homunculi's abilities, so here's what it says about the Ultimate Eye. I've included the original Japanese for anyone who wants to double check my translation.
全てを見極める眼力 超人的な動体視力で、動く相手の攻撃も防御も、全てを見抜く力。戦闘時は常に主導権を握る強みを持つ「最強の眼」だ。 Powers of observation to ascertain all The ability to perceive every aspect of a moving opponent's attack and defense with superhuman dynamic visual acuity*. The Ultimate Eye excels at always maintaining the initiative in battle. (*T/N: The ability to perceive fine details in moving objects.)
So basically yeah, it's kinda like sharingan.
